From: Rhaorth Antonelli I have noticed that the "clique" doesn't seem as cliquish as of late (by that I mean, it doesn't seem as close knit, as friendly, and people do not seem as quick to "jump on the bandwagon" A fair number of people *have* come into this thread lately, including newbies. I think part of the blame for the low tone this thread sometimes shows, goes to the sense of impending doom - that the Forum is going to close. Not to say of course that we all aren't responsible for what we say, but there is some frustration, dismay, sadness, what-have-you about the shutdown, and that hasn't helped anyone's mood. .

From: Rhaorth Antonelli ok... totally off topic, if there is a topic.... Sometimes, somethings totally take me off guard... bear with me cuz this is one of those OMG how stupid can I be and how embarrassing LOL... I was just now scrolling through the replies and saw my banner on my sig that I just added, and thought, those shoes are cool, wonder where they are from... then it dawned on me, it's mine.... erm... *note* avoid forums, avoid posting, avoid thinking, when sick. (is something going around, noticed others mentioned they are sick too) lol. Rha. I was *just* looking at your banner, and admiring those black boots! And yes, there is something going around. There's always some rhinovirus around...and the infamous H1N1 virus is make the rounds, too. I hope you feel better soon, Rha.

. I do not mean "this thread" I mean over all... just the whole air of the forums seems different, people seems to be breaking away, moving on, or just posting less, and when some people jump onto something or someone, not everyone follows along, whereas it used to be when someone said something... there were a ton of "me too" replies.... Yeah I too think it is the impending doom thing...

As there have been several mentions of not feeling well I'd like to wish you all a speedy recovery. It's the last day of summer which means most of us should be looking forward to a spell of nice weather before winter starts creeping up on us. I'd hate for anyone to miss any of it while being sick. Hugs and chicken soup for everyone.

OK. Y'all didn't let me derail this train from its gloomy course with my silly letter, so I'll try again. Yesterday, I embarrassed myself. I was working on my hotel, which currently has two tenants. I noticed a couple of new arrivals on my radar. The names were unfamiliar, so I went looking, thinking to welcome them and maybe even add a new tenant. They were in one of the penthouse apartments, engaged in Adult Content. I went in, and said, "Do you know this is a private residence?" Man: "I have the owner's permission to use his apartment". Me: "I'll just IM him and check" Man: "Fine, you do that...then come over here" I IM'd the tenant, and he was off line. Me: "I don't think so. Instead, I think I will eject your sassy ass." Man: "Bad timing" I ejected and banned and muted both of them. About two minutes later, the tenant showed up. As it turned out, the intruder DID have his permission to use the apartment. Red-faced, I apologized to the tenant, his friend, and his friend's objet d'affection. They were all actually very good about it. The joys of being an SL landlady.

From: Kalor Rayner I've been reading various threads here, and there does seem to be a bit of a clique at times. Of course, even more transparent, is the amount of drama that goes through this forum. The drama llama gets quite a workout in these forums. I think that any group that interacts on a regular basis is going to develop cliques (and drama). I don't think that there is a singular clique here, though: I think there are a number of overlapping ones. And, although I have seen them "mobilized" on occasion (once or twice against me, early on) when it was felt that something or someone constituted a threat to the "common interest," I don't think that they usually function as mechanisms of exclusion. The drama, of course, is a different thing; like the hydra, you cut off one head, and another grows in its place.

I just tend to laugh at some of the drama, or roll my eyes at some other ones. Been around forums in general since around 2002, so I've seen my share of dramas and cliques.

The joys of being an SL landlady. heh I would have done the same until I could confirm with the tenant. Then I would have sent a notice to all tenants, that it might be in the best interest of all, if they plan to have guests over when they are not online, to let me know, so as to avoid further mishaps such as that

But maybe that's just my friendly and outgoing nature. The offers have decreased since I started carrying this .45 on my hip, but that didn't stop this fellow.

Although I DID once get invited to join in on a reading.

Wow, this thread has really turned into the flaming bag of dogshit on the front porch. I hope evryone is happy for whatever part they may have played in it, myself included. Rha may have been it's mother, and Mo it's conscience, but Amara was it's heart and soul. This was HER little sanctuary and we managed to piss all over it. And if she has left the inworld group as well, then I don't know what to say to her. But once this forum is closed I'm sure this cancer will find it's way there eventually, and I do not want to see something I helped give birth to destroyed in the same way. My best regards to all of you.
