two things that impress me about vegas- 1) county workers vs subdivision maintenance - man, are they fast or what! they zoom in by the truckloads, do their work in short time, and disappear as quickly as they came. 2) street dirt - you can pass a corner on the way to the store and see bags of trash and debris just dumped off. ugh. on your way back home from the store, 30 minutes later, the debris is ALL cleaned up. go down a few subdivisions and round some corners - BAM! debris and trash dumped and scattered. do a little 30 minute jaunt and come back - it's gone! seriously. you never see who's cleaning, their like ninja's.

From: Elora Lunasea So, any big plans for the holiday weekend? G and I are heading up to his parents this weekend. Leaving late Saturday afternoon, staying in a lovely B&B we've been to once before and then having an early Easter dinner at his mom and dad's on Sunday. His mom is a fantastic cook, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm trying to find a cake recipe, I want to bring something up with us. Need to find something which will travel ok, since there isn't a fridge in the room and I know buttercream frostings have to stay chilled. Thinking about a coconut cake or an angel food cake with berry sauce (I'll make the sauce once I get to the house). Passover was a non-event since it started in the middle of the week and all of my family is a little too far away to bother making the trip with us both working. I didn't even bother trying to create a traditional meal yet, since he has been getting home later than me - Jewish food is just too heavy to eat late at night, let alone a Passover meal with all the courses involved. Maybe I'll do it next weekend, just for the sake of doing it My daughter -- in college -- sends me an email that says roughly: Mooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmie, my roommate and I are coming home for Easter. Will you boil lots of eggs for us to color and cook us a traditional Easter dinner with ham, pleeeeeeeeaaaaaase? I love you soooooooooooo much, mommie. Thank you. This from my 20-yr old brain child - too cute.

From: 3Ring Binder i just think this is a pretty picture- Oh, this is a great pic!! The contrast 'tween the light and dark of your respective outfits is marvelous. And, of course, the fact that you're both smokin' hot doesn't hurt, either.

From: Elora Lunasea Las Vegas if fantastic to visit, but I'd imagine not great to live in permanently. From the body count in CSI, life expectancy there seems pretty low . . . Pep ( . . . unless you are talking about permanent occupation of a burial plot)

From: 3Ring Binder he trumps and raises his legs when you click him. From his quote it would appear that "trumps" has a different meaning there from that which it has here. Pep (And there is much insane giggling going on at your faux pas)

I love Vegas. One thing I do hate. Paper slappers. Those guys who stand like every 3' from each other slapping flyers in your face for all the strip places and god knows what else. And then people throw the paper on the ground because most don't want to really deal with it. Ugh. Then again, you have your #2 reason for loving Vegas who come along to clean it all pretty rapidly. So, no harm done I just got invited to my very best girlfriend's 50th celebration in Vegas in October. She's getting a bunch of us together, staying in Harrahs for a weekend of debauchary. Not sure if I'm into it or not, I'm not a drinker by any means, and she and the others are huge partiers. If I go, I can see ditching them early in the evening and just going off to play slots alone. Knowing how much my girl herself can drink, they probably wouldn't even realize I'd left
