Thanks! I tried like 15 other names that weren't available first. It came from desperation.

Well, after a nice sleep in, a huge mug of tea, some puttering around, I finally checked the thread, and whoa you lot have been busy!

And it is such a nice day. I thought I saw a dark cloud in the sky, but I blinked and it was gone again. So refreshingly nice. I hope others find similar weather.

Non metaphorically but more meteorologicaly - The skies here are overcast but not nearly as dark as I like them. I want a huge friggin' storm that makes the buildings shake! I love rainy season here. Don't want hurricanes of course- that is too much. But the kind of storm that rattles the windows and make midday pitch black :) We didnt' get much in the way of rain and storm last year. Grateful we didnt' get 'canes but could sure use a gullywasher or two (don't think Florida has gullies - hmm- toad-straggler?)

my favorite, big, earth shaking storms happen in august. hot rain with thunder and lightning. don't mind the potential forest fires, i can't be bothered with that. LOL and the smells we get here with all these trees and dirt- it's so refreshing and soul cleansing. i love summer rains.

ha ha another silly inbox contribution:

HOW TO SHOWER LIKE A WOMAN:

Take off clothing and place it in sectioned laundry hamper according to lights and darks.

Walk to bathroom wearing long robe. If you see husband along the way, cover up any exposed areas.

Look at your womanly physique in the mirror -- make mental note to do more sit-ups/leg-lifts, etc.

Get in the shower. Use wash cloth, long loofah, wide loofah and pumice stone.

Wash your hair once with cucumber and sage shampoo with 43 added vitamins.

Wash your hair again to make sure it's clean.

Condition your hair with grapefruit mint conditioner.

Wash your face with crushed apricot facial scrub for 10 minutes until red.

Wash entire rest of body with ginger nut and jaffa cake body wash.

Rinse conditioner off hair.

Shave armpits, legs and etc.

Rinse off.

Turn off shower.

Squeegee off all wet surfaces in shower.

Spray mold spots with Tilex.

Get out of shower. Dry with towel the size of a small country.

Wrap hair in super absorbent towel.

Return to bedroom wearing long robe and towel on head.

If you see husband along the way, cover up any exposed areas.

HOW TO SHOWER LIKE A MAN:
(If he takes a shower)

Take off clothes while sitting on the edge of the bed and leave them in a pile.

Walk naked to the bathroom.

If you see wife along the way, shake wiener at her making the woo-woo sound.

Look at your manly physique in the mirror.

Admire the size of your wiener and scratch your butt.

Get in the shower. Wash your face. Wash your armpits.

Blow your nose in your hands and let the water rinse them off.

Fart and laugh at how loud it sounds in the shower.

Spend majority of time washing privates and surrounding area.

Wash your butt, leaving those coarse butt hairs stuck on the soap.

Wash your hair. Make a Shampoo Mohawk.

Pee.

Rinse off and get out of shower.

Partially dry off.

Fail to notice the water on floor because curtain was hanging out of tub the whole time.

Admire wiener size in mirror again.

Leave shower curtain open, wet mat on floor, and light and fan on.

Return to bedroom with towel around waist.

If you pass wife, pull off towel, shake wiener at her and make the woo-woo sound again.

Throw wet towel on bed.

I love those storms as well. We are lucky to get one a year as you've described.

Bradley, i don't know if i can make it to your grand reopening. it's really hard for me to get inworld on the weekends. that's my RL family time, which i am quite fond of. but if we have a lull here (the boys are talking about some archery practice, and i probably won't go) i'll surely bip over for a short while.

Ah, a kindred soul. I have always loved rainy/stormy weather! When I was a kid we used to get terrible storms that would rage for hours. Now we're lucky if we get one that lasts 10 minutes. Its storming here right now but I'm at work where I can't enjoy it :(

Love the shower posts :)

So I'd like to start a movement whereas any and all shops that I like to frequent on my day off are required to be open and fully staffed on holidays. (Staffed, of course with volunteers who are being paid double-time and a half).

Too damp out for gardening, no shops open, friends all out visiting old folks.

I am reduced to vacuuming and doing laundry and all sorts of horrors! (Oh, and reading the forums again)

PULEEEZE tell me that the inwold shops are open and waiting for my lindens.

ROFL :D

Some men a bit more shy than others, some men a bit more neat than others but overall - spot on.

Also the reason I shower first usually ;) I HATE standing on sopping wet bath rugs!

They seem to be, but if you have trouble getting anyone to take your lindens, send them my way and I'll see if I can get stores to take them.

Lots of things in nature have an erotic quality to them if you look closely, f that is what you mean by 'nasty" lol. Have you ever seen Georgia O'Keefe's paintings for instance? Extremely sexual/sensual in the way she handles her flowers and landscapes.

One of my favorite things when I lived in Fort Lauderdale was the storms. For a time period, I lived in Plantation, in an apartment complex that overlooked a cow pasture (I'm sure now, that pasture is filled with condos). For miles, it was empty green. During storms, you could see the clouds approaching from miles away and then the lightening strikes would start hitting the ground, it was wild to watch! So mesmerizing and frightening at the same time.
