Elora does not lie - it's one of the chief reasons I'm with her. (She doesn't always get her facts straight
And there's a difference?

Pep (Subtle, but informative!)

PS Interesting to see that fickleness is apparently not a sex-linked characteristic

Love those cactus pics, Damien.
I once hiked through parts of some Arizona park near Sonoma and was amazed by the size and colours of the cactus blooms. For a Canadian, any desert is like being on a different planet.
(man, I need to get out into the garden!)

So, any big plans for the holiday weekend?

G and I are heading up to his parents this weekend. Leaving late Saturday afternoon, staying in a lovely B&B we've been to once before and then having an early Easter dinner at his mom and dad's on Sunday.

His mom is a fantastic cook, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm trying to find a cake recipe, I want to bring something up with us. Need to find something which will travel ok, since there isn't a fridge in the room and I know buttercream frostings have to stay chilled. Thinking about a coconut cake or an angel food cake with berry sauce (I'll make the sauce once I get to the house).

Passover was a non-event since it started in the middle of the week and all of my family is a little too far away to bother making the trip with us both working. I didn't even bother trying to create a traditional meal yet, since he has been getting home later than me - Jewish food is just too heavy to eat late at night, let alone a Passover meal with all the courses involved. Maybe I'll do it next weekend, just for the sake of doing it :)

I'll just do what I do every holiday. I'll buy some gin and drink until I pass out on the couch.

It's a tradition.

I like the dark black eyes better. It looked like you were ripping people's souls out of their body.

I love Arizona and thought for sure that I'd be there my entire life but then I got a job offer I couldn't resist that took me to Las Vegas. Hell, was that ever a mistake.

Las Vegas if fantastic to visit, but I'd imagine not great to live in permanently.

Depends; my son graduated from UNLV; his degree is in hotel and casino management, which only a few universities in the US actually specify, however, it is a business degree, technically. (BA). He loved Vegas so much he never came home. Just recently bought his first house, by himself and is loving his life there. Rarely goes to the touristy places, unless he has a friend visiting or something. Vegas can be lucrative if you can avoid the bling. It's about a 5 hour drive for me, I go every couple months, just to visit him.
