Top o' the mornin' Threadgoers. :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I did! The Jerboa has a new hidey hole. Yup, a little black-sand spot to call me own. 2048sqm sandbar with a pirate ship near. Yarr!

So...um...you don't need to look under the couch for me any more. Nope..no need to check if I'm down there at all really. In fact forget I was ever down there. That'd be the best thing to do. Yup yup. ;)

Jury duty Amara? Awwww.

Try these when you're there:
1. I can tell if he's guilty by his shoes.
2. I'll know how to decide as soon as I see the defendant's aura
3. If a police officer told me the sky was green, I'd believe him.
and..
4. I let the voices tell me who is guilty.

Amara...still lovin' the car pics. That leetle one is very cute. Hmmm, I think I'd get it; handy for in-city parking; on the other hand,I'd be askeered to drive it on the freeways!!

And good luck at jury duty. I've been called twice. It's a great opportunity, one that we should embrace, but I understand your hesitation. Heh, I saw Jerboa's list - it's also handy if you come in spouting "off with his head!!!" :D

G'mornin, thread!

I dun have too many excitin' stories this weekend, cuz I mostly spent my time building on some projects. One of em was a deco-style clocktower f'r a friend in Bay City (You may have seen that come up on th' Revisiting Bay City thread). This is what that ended up lookin' like. I'm purty proud of it.

It's now living in Bay City - Moosehead. It lights up at night an stuff too.

But I did those, I did a sign for the top of the' Brownstones in Grignano, I did some work on a diner project an a couple other buildings, too. Oh, an I started to convert all my plants over to sculpts, which is a big project.

Other than that, lesee.... I did the airship event f'r a couple in Lebettu, an I explored The Hotel Dare (art installation, kinda cool), AM Radio's The Refuge and Expansion (now all winterized!), and enjoyed the Spacexcape sim. All of those are worth eyeballing!

Nice clock tower. I am always impressed by your weekend haunts but your building is artistic as well.

Out of curiosity ... does the clock work? If so, does it display SL Time or local sun cycle time?

Oh, and the hands, are they prims you are rotating or just a texture?

I always wanted to try making and scripting an analog clock. Maybe I should make it a new project.

Mari, your "unexciting" SL weekends are still tops on my list. :) That clocktower is amazing! Does it really tell time?

(oops, I see that Yosef is thinking along the same lines :)...*waves to Yosef*...)

Howdy folks!

I actually found a little time to spend in SL this weekend (which is rare for me lately) and a great time it was.

I got to meet Mo, Bec, and the big eared fella in-world for the first time. A big thanks to Lindal for hosting the ballon event. Flying with a group was much more fun than flying alone.

Here's my pic from the fly-in. Not a great pic but you can see five balloons and Lindal's lovely villa's in the background.

And to top it all off I got a ride in an SL celebrities blimp before I had to go.
Thanks Mari. :)

It uses SLT, and the hands are prim.

There's also a water "gurgling" sound from the fountain. It uses a random sound sample so it's not a single continual loop. Sounds a bit more natural that way. Also, the owner can touch on-and-off the sound f'r times when the white noise might annoy. :-)

<---- When I grow up I want to be as cool as Mari!

I love the clock. Sorry I missed you at the balloon ride, I had to leave early.

nice Clock, didn't know you scripted as well =)

I'm bored so I thought I'd share this

I Believe The Cats Are Taking Over
lyrics (oddly enough) by Lseslie Fish

They gallop from the kitchen and they settle on the grate
The fix their big eyes on you and they sit them down to wait.
You know you're gonna have to feed them off the People Plate,
I believe the cats are taking over.

:Chorus:
I believe, I believe,
I believe the cats are taking over.

Up and down the fence at night, yowling loud and shrill,
The cats are making more cats, by dawn they're at it still,
Their babies come in litters and they do not take the pill,
I believe the cats are taking over.

(chorus)

Early, early in the morning, when you're fast asleep,
Hand over hand up the blankets they will creep,
To yowl in your ear then escape you with a leap,
I believe the cats are taking over.

(chorus)

They drive us out to organize bigger crowds each day
You blame it on psychology, on politics, or play,
But in fact we're only making friends to give our cats away,
I believe the cats are taking over.

(chorus)

So there's your true conspiracy, I swear I do not lie,
The source of these upheavals that so trouble you and I,
So won't you take a kitten, please, Mr. FBI?
I believe the cats are taking over.

(chorus)

Hi folks - I know it's been a while but I am having a Monday Night World Music party at the cafe tonight - 6-9PM SLT, all are welcome. I don't mean to sully this magnificent thread with a plug from my place, but so many of you have been asking when I'm having another party and I wanted to let you all know the time is now! :D

Tonight I'll be celebrating the music of S. Africa and especially the great Miriam Makeba, who passed away yesterday at 76. Hope to see everyone! Have a great day.

I'm still kinda learning. There's some stuff I use a lot lot, an a LOT I haven't even begun to mess with. My brother Pygar also helped me bunches on it.

I actually said once, something to the affect of "Guilty people just have a certain look about them" -- and, as planned, I got released from serving.
:D

I know that we should all feel honored to serve, but I'm just too cynical these days and have decided that our entire legal system is just about as screwed up as our political system.

BTW - Congrats on your new place.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.
