And boy.. how much you must have did to list all those names.

Thanks, Mac...well, it was handy to be able to pull the names of all the threadees from the "Replies" column affiliated with this particular thread. I didn't know that list was even there until yesterday...

Resistance is futile, and to mix my cinematic tourette's moments, all are welcome. It's really a come-as-you-are group. And you are wonderful, just as you are!:D

I'd say there's only one rule for this clique: have fun and enjoy.

And...this is my 400th post!:)

Way too many members to be properly called a clique. Cliques are supposed to be small outside-the-mainstream groups. I think we're the mainstream around here. The others are just stubborn non-compliers!

How about a sleek ride ...

oooo....
What you really need is the Chrysler Tomahawk

500 horsepower, Viper V-10 (10 cylinder 90-degree V style), 505 cubic inches (8277 cc) engine.

The Dodge Tomahawk can reach 60 miles an hour (97kph) in about 2.5 seconds, and has a theoretical top speed of nearly 400 mph (644kph). The test track runs were limited to 300mph (483kph).

Actually I love the second one. I'll pass on the Tomahawk.

My bike with 800cc handles the interstate quite well, in Houston I could ride it in the commuter lanes and bypass the traffic. Also at 800cc my insurance is $100 USD per year for full coverage and $500K Liability.

Custom bikes are nice but the insurance is hard to get for general use.

Mine would be a triumph I think... something like this:

or similar.

Though I do have a soft spot for Yamaha bikes....my uncle had one of those. I have fond memories. not that I can remember which it is of course lol.

Oryx I love those.

IRL I get along by the beach sometimes on a Honda 240cc scooter :)

about as close as I will go to a motorcycle. Even thou secretly I would love to be thrown on the back of one and driven across a long stretch of highway with Neil Young playing in the background...sigh.

Thanks, CX! That's exactly the sort of bike I'm looking for. I need something that isn't massively expensive to get into, handles well, gets good mileage and is big enough so I don't look like a bear in the Russian circus riding around on a tiny little bicycle.

Oryx's are pretty nice, too. I love the nostalgic look. There was an Indian manufacturer that I looked at a while back - India Indian, not the famous Indian brand. They were these dinky little Rube Goldberg looking bikes that you could pick up new for under a grand. They weren't anything special, but I really liked them because they just looked like fun. I wish I could remember the brand. A buddy who was going to India showed them to me. He went to India, bought one for $300.00US and travelled all over the nation, then pretty much gave it away when he flew back. I was extremely jealous of him for a long time over that trip.

Of course you would love Triumphs look where you live. :-) They are cool bikes. I owned a Triumph Spitfire (car) when I was younger. I could not figure out British Electrical Theory so I couldn't keep it.
