Just a flight feather, and an AO (a Zhao II with a variety of animations collected from various places).

Don't recall if I answered here before...
I have never used this Mysti thingie- i have an AO with some model poses that don't look half bad except for one where i look entirely too full of myself- I have my feather but only wear it when i need it - the only things on all the time is the AO and a radar i have gotten used to. Someone gave me a very cool freebie particle generator thing that is neat but i seldom have a need for and wish i could remember the name on the fly, just got the LinkRez and that is a blast to use! I do not personally own the Rendezvous but it has my vote for beat all end all. My alt, Hera though has the most treasured "gadget" of all ![]() _____________________

I know what I would LIKE to have...a HUD that
1) automatically mutes any avatar wearing more than 1k prims 2) turns off all bling in a 50m radius (including my own if I'm blinging, have particles off and didn't see it 3) renders face and body lights invisible 4) automatically mutes any avatar that uses more than 6 lines of chat in a row (for gesture spam) 5) gotta think about it lol _____________________

I think I have one HUD space left. LOL
1. Mystitool - cant/won't live without it! (tp to cam is one function I haven't seen mentioned that rocks!) 2. Conovers Flight Helper - this little gadget costs 50L with free lifetime updates and is absolutley the BEST flight helper I have ever seen, makes the Mytitool flight helper look bad. * Great features like the ability to type /goto 1000 (all the way up to 4096m!) and it takes you to whatever height, up or down, that you specify at 100meters per second! * You can even set the speed from as slow as 15m/second to 100m/second. * It has a dash feature * its own physics engine for extreme flight control * air breaks so that when you stop flying you STOP right where you are, not go drifting off through the air. * You can attach it to your body or to your hud but you never see it in either instance. So simple you can wear it and go yet so robust that an experienced user will love it. Trust me, go find this thing! 3. Menike<sp?> hugger. Absolutely the best hugger I've found, the hugs are so tender and sweet. Has a High 5 animation that is cool. Oh and the slow dance anim, put it on hold and snuggle your loved one for hours. 4. My Conovers online hud - technically I think this is a spy device as it lets you know if someone is online even if they are NOT on your friends list or have you marked as unable to see them online. BUT I only use it for my bestest friends because it gives me a sound notification when they log in, I often miss the little SL Blue message. 5. I'm a Neko so I have a tail and ears, I found the best ones I could find appearnace wise anyway, but in order to make the tail and ears randomly twitch you have to wear the stupid HUD which is HUGE and ugly. I wish I could remember what its called...Atomic? I don't know but whoever the creator of this is should be randomly scolded for not building that function into the ears and tail themselves! (I did edit the hud so that is off the screen so I don't have to look at it but it still takes up a hud spot!) 6. My sit HUD! I'm a kid AV so when I first bought it I was MAGIC Neko Boy who floated in the air when I tried to sit. I finally IM'd the creator and for just a few L$'s she customed edited the sits for my height! Awesome lady, but I can't remember her name nor the name of the HUD ![]() 7. My Abranimations AO: Paid a fortune for this AO but I love it, it keeps me moving even when standing in very natural and varied poses. Problems: some of the animations are set to the highest priority so gestures don't work, others are not; the walks are ALL terrible! I picked the least offensive one and that has become my signature walk now. LOL But other than those two things its a very small hud with an on/off button and is pretty. ![]() 8. My Horizons Holodeck! The most awesomeest toy every made in SL. I've spent easily 20,000L adding scenes to it and NEVER tire of it! The bridge of the Star Trek Enterprise NCC17071D ROCKS. My friends and I like to put on our ST uniforms and act like total geeks in it! LOL Worth it just for the laughs and smile-ache you end up with ![]() 9. Prim Docker! OMG I love this thing, makes building so much easier for those of us who are NOT expert builders, and the texture aligning tool is a godsend! 10. My friends list. ![]() Handy |

7. My Abranimations AO: <snip> the walks are ALL terrible! I picked the least offensive one and that has become my signature walk now. All of the AOs I've seen are modifiable, which means you should be able to exchange the walks for something you like better. It's really just a matter of dropping the new animation into the AO, then opening the notecard and adding the name of the new walk on the appropriate line. _____________________

Is everyone multi-lingual?
01-07-2009 08:17
I am sure someone here can help me with this... ![]() At some point of the game I was able to understand French - in other words, I had some kind of HUD (the french guy gave it to me) and after that all text written were automatically translated from French to English and vice versa. Now I have a Spanish friend and this kind of tool would be very useful. Where can I get it or activate it? Vergi. Because the SL universe is multi-cultural, and being multi-language challenged, a universal translator is indispensible. /327/47/292622/1.html Free Mystitools is perfect for most uses and the stop animation is better than the one included in the viewer. AO cause I don't like looking like a dork. |

1. AO
2. Flight assist 3. Radar and that's it for me. Body lights affect other people's ability to see local lights so I don't like them at all. Yesterday I was demoing a bed with a light on/off to someone, but it didn't work. I was busy looking in the scripts when it occured to me why it may not be working. The girl had 5 body lights on and was using up my allocation of local lights. The thing worked fine when she moved away. _____________________

1) AO... I don't think I could hang without it. That Linden walk completely destroys any type of persona you're trying to put forth.
2) Flight Bracelet... Always good to have. Never know when you're about to TP to a skybox or platform that's been moved since the LM was created. 3) Chim... Really hate going to a club where the dances are bad. Also, it makes things a lot more fun for those impromptu rooftop dance parties ![]() |

All these votes for an AO I'm beginning to think I should get one. It always struck me as pretty pointless.
Flight assist and radar are critical though. I use mysti tool for that but I find all the other functions on it to be pretty pointless. _____________________

I combined my otter monitor, flight feather, and tinycam into a HUD some months back, styled after the Apple dock - "Argent's Dock". I haven't added an AO to it yet because too many of my avatars have integral AOs and I've found hacking AOs to be tedious. I just stick a slightly modified Franimation or ZHAO in the root prim when I need one. Would that be an overwhelmingly useful addition (along the lines of "OMG Argent I gotta get that"

Always on hand:
AO (deluxe version with 3 diff animation sets to switch between, with a few of my own added; includes sit-anywhere/groundsits) Basic freebie radar that doesn't chatspam like some do... I got it at Circuit City Island when it was open. (The Mysti one bugs me; I like being able to see radar onscreen without scrolling back through the chat window.) Pose stands: one basic for clothing and one for poses. I use the latter with a photosphere. Facelight: just *one* light, not the MegaWatt 9000. Internet radio: Needs updated or something, the search only works about every 5th attempt. But it's always on. Often used: MystiTool HUD prior version. I was sent an updated one but none of the functions, once activated, will turn off. Rollerskates and ice skates ![]() Huddles for dances: Being remade, since an SL glitch ate it, then returned it rendered useless and script-free, with all my no-copy dances lost. (As per LL modus operandi, the "do not rezz" warning on the grid page came up a good hour after my Huddles got eaten while I was loading more dances into it.) Fun stuff I don't use anymore: Home Security Storm Cloud: When I was sharing a home with 2 roomies in a griefer-prone area, we'd get a kick out of watching someone get zapped by lightning and blown around the property. I think it's illegal due to the lack of advance warning, but then again it doesn't orbit or eject, it just annoys people until they leave on their own. Emoter HUD: came with my monkey av, another victim of an SL glitch. The HUD is now a tiny white strip instead of the emote interface. YouTube-enabled TV: disillusioned after everyone else could use it but me, even after a rep came by and made sure all my settings were correct. Once I moved off the mainland, it works just fine... however, sitting on a virtual couch loading and watching videos inworld is pointless to me, when I can just open a YouTube window and do the same thing, only faster. Various assorted scripted furnitures and HUDS *wink, nudge*: I live alone and am SLsingle. They're gathering pixeldust. Favorite gadgets I've bought, regardless of usefulness: Grand Piano: It's. just. cool. EZ Magic Chair: Instant club/office/solarium/build platform, but mostly just fun to show people who have never seen it before. Stuff I want/need/really should get around to getting: Universal translator: for communicating with renters Primfinder: for locating said renters' lost items that accidentally got shot off to the other side of the sims. I suppose I could use Mysti for this, but someone showed me a really sweet one that I want to look into. Av Torcher: because sometimes, setting someone on fire is all the communication you need. |

Definately the holodeck, great gadget. Paradise Blankets are nice too, although it sucks that the chosen modules de-rez if the one who chose them goes offline. I wish they'd change that.
One I wish for: A gadget that will automatically eject anybody who dares come around wearing a face light. Get rid of the things already, they're just bad. Even if it's not the megawatt 9000 that will light up the entire bloody sim, it still interferes with local lighting. If you're not on a posing stand get rid of the stupid thing, you'll do the entire grid a favor. |

If the SL defaults don't make you want to scream and claw out your eyes, it probably is pointless. (The Mysti one bugs me; I like being able to see radar onscreen without scrolling back through the chat window.) I don't know what this means. The MystiTool lists whoever is in range (up to a certain number) right above the HUD buttons. ![]() _____________________

I saw that article as well which is what prompted me to purchase the Mysti-tool, even though at the time, I really had no idea what all it could do and basically used it as an AV detector. I still keep discovering new parts of it regularly. That would be my No. 1 MUST HAVE in SL if I had none of the others. A good animation override is a must for me. I am so glad I have one that doesn't look like every other lady I see. (Sometimes I land at a spot at the same time as lots of other people and kind of chuckle to see a lot of the ladies all doing the same animations.) The pros and cons and the "who cares" of a home security system have been discussed in the forums, but for my home in the sky...another DEFINITE must-have. We do have The Internet Radio at home, but I consider that more of a luxury...for me. ETA: Another "must have" after reading FD's post - a good texture organizer!! Indispensable. I have been around for nearly 2 years now and only recently discovered the MystiTool. I wanted the MystiTool Dyna Table, (it rezzes and derezzes chairs around a table when someone arrives or leaves) but found I needed to buy the entire MystiTool to get it. After reading what you all have said, I guess I will go on and get the whole thing, sounds like some other interesting stuff in there too. |

One of the Coonspirators has something like that, except that you get a circle of mushrooms that always has one empty spot. It may be cheaper than the Mystitool. _____________________
