Jig, I hope you keep a record of your posts on these forums so you can go back some day, reread them, and realize what a sanctimonious prig you sound like. Of course, that presumes you will actually grow up, not just older. And what is your fixation with pitying people who have disabilities? You know, there are people older than 25, people living with disabilities, people who may not be a smart as you, etc. etc., all leading perfectly fulfilling lives, coping with ups and downs, loving, and being loved in return.

I know your attitude is a function of your youth and probably your isolation, but it really grates on me. I hope for your sake, you grow into wisdom, and finally realize that humans are inherently worthwhile and deserving of respect, irregardless of age, intelligence, or physical ability. Pity is not respect, it's the antithesis of respect...

I don't think dancing is a sad commentary on SLife. I think the fact that most social events in SL only involve dancing at a club while people either IM looking for hookups or stay oddly chat-free is a sad commentary on SL's effectiveness as a "social media."

Some of us enjoy the music, wearing elegant gowns that one may not have as much occasion to in RL and, in my case, enjoy the more elegant venues of ballroom dancing. Not everyone is in SL for "the sexxies."

But yet you sex in SL with people other than your partner because you are in a 'mood' (like many people do)...and somehow you do not understand the appeal of dancing in SL?

Why do you need to "understand" it? The very fact that people love to do is for me, understanding enough. The only thing to understand when it comes to "why do people..." is that "people do".

Questions like this show an awful lack of retrospective introspecting when formulating these ideas for questions like this.

I love dancing in SL. It feels great. It is a wonderful emotional release with the right music or person. I am sure there are a number of other reasons that i have never thought of.

I just do not get the judgmental attitude about benign type things that people hold here in SL. Sex, dancing, furries, goreans, BDSM, pregnancy, kids avatars, SL families, etc..

Deja Vu. I ended up doing exactly that when I crashed Pep's dance earlier today. Everything I wrote earlier about the lag? True. I couldn't even get on the floor, he had to TP and I practically landed in his and his gray date's lap. All my babble about my custom dance hud? Oh no, no scripts were permitted at the dance hall. Other than some karate anis, all my animations are IN the hud, so not a lot of good to me. So there I stood in the middle of a very busy dance floor lmadly clicking my hud beside Pep, some fashion journalist he was dancing with, and a load of couple's dance balls.

And then she rezzed and god help me I wish she hadn't

Of course the lag made it just that much more special. I wasn't there to dance, but at that point if I could have I would have. All I needed was a quick color consult. Instead, there I stoo like a stalker with both of them asking me in chat and then in IM what did I need them to look at. Of course I had answered THE MAKE UP already but lag, you know. Maybe I should have just done the karate and gotten banned
