I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

No. I saw you had posted, so i clicked to see what you had to say. So, in effect, I read it backwards... just never made it back very far. No offense, everyone else.

You should see my keyboards. Most of them are missing letters on certain keys. This here has the t, r, e, n, and a missing already. It's my claws...... :D
No, I have these killer fingernails of steel. Even though they're REALLY short.

They're not painted, they're plastic caps used to prevent shredded furniture. The easiest way to apply is to wrap the cat in a towel, revealing one foot at a time, with one person holding the cat and another putting the caps on.

TMI, yes? lol

oh my kitty is declawed being siamese and all she liked to climb everything and well it just seemed easier for both of us lol

only the front claws of course now she scratches and we both feel satisfied the furniture remains intact and she still gets to scratch where she pleases. I tried the nail cutting on one cat and a few other tricks and decided that if i was going to have leather furninture and expensive speakers I would just get more sleep and not have to replace the furniture every 5 years...

also those caps dont make her chew on her feet all the time?

My cat would be running around smashing into walls and causing herself brain damage in a mad panic to get the things off her feet. You should see her when she's got a bit of tape or something stuck on her foot I have to catch her before she knocks herself silly!

Declawing is the feline equivalent of cutting all of a human's fingers off at the first knuckle...I don't feel my furniture is worth doing something like that to an animal which trusts me.

The caps only have to be replaced every 4-6 weeks and most cats get used to them after a short adjustment period.

You are a sweet human. If I come back as a cat, I hope you adopt me. :)

.

hehe i know what declawing is but I must say that they dont care and it saves my cat from getting brain damage trying to get things off her feet she doesn't want . I had another cat that hated harnesses and collars she would knock herself silly so we just decided to make her an indoor cat for her own safety lest she smash her brains out getting used to wearing one.

Anyhow if i didn't declaw I could not own an animal not with the stuff we have in this house and none of my animals want or need for anything in fact I had one insane cat I got frmo the human society that my vet had said that anyone would have putto sleep in the first year. She was a siamese throwback the nervous temperament and all so a breeder gave these duds to the humaine society and stupid me I went there to retrieve a cat for a friend and I just had to look anyhow even that nutso cat didnt' mind the declawing they truly dont care.

They still scratch and still climb and have fun and the both of us can relax. the one and only non declawed siamese we had did so much damage that when she died of old age we spent about 75k on repairs so after that the decision was if we are going to keep an animal that was destructive we were going to investigate options.

such is life

I've always wondered why givinga cat a hysterectomy to stop them from having babies or castrating a male cat to stop him from making babies with a female was looked at as humaine while declawing is not.. When they go in for spay or neuter they get declawed at the same time

/shrug

cant imagine maiming a cat like that. cant hunt as well, cant defend themselves as well.
i think it should be outlawed.
lucy had claws and never scratched a single thing in this house.

I've had both clawed and declawed. The only issue I have with declawing is the fact that they then have to be completely indoors. I don't see it as a "maiming" issue, these are pets, and we spay them routinely, which is a much more invasive procedure.

As far as I am aware, it isn't allowed in the UK :)

Edit:

Just found this info:

The last line also sums it up.

Poor kitties. Having to be taken to dirty back-alley illegal clinics to get those unwanted claws taken care off. poor kitties.

My cat can climb anything. Champion climber. Does not have front claws. Also is not allowed outside, but for a different reason.

Well, on the plus side, we're not talking about privacy screens any more...

My gay declawed (front paws) cat found your screen tacky and lacking in style.

You have me confused with someone else. I would rather buy a whole sim than put up a privacy screen. In fact, I did. :p
