From: Gabriele Graves Will you please stop repeating this ad nauseum. I don't want everything to be the way I do it, if I use my way as an example it is to show there is an alternate way.
Conventional wisdom says that finding things in an organised filing system will always be faster and easier than trying to find things in a storage that is disorganised. I was not saying that anyone cannot have a disorganised inventory if they should want. I will dispute though that it is better than being organised though. It is not "my way' though nor does it mean I want things my way.
So please can you stop repeating that? only if you stop repeating the way you want things we already know how you want it, and we have even told you why some people choose to do it another way (which of course you poopoo'd as irrelevant) when actually it is extremely relevant, because it is a choice someone made. so.. let me see if this is right... you can continue to go on about how you want things and why, but we must stop repeating why some people choose other methods? we use our comments and info as examples as well, but my impression is that you have blinders on at the moment. *shrug* I give up, the damn forums are being a pain too much to even try to follow the conversation.

From: Phil Deakins Now you're cooking! Bots are the best things that ever happened in and to SL. They boost the concurrency numbers enormously, thus making non-users wrongly believe that SL is really popular, and it brings them in - where I can reliive them of their money ROFL thanks for the smiles phil actually some bots are good...

From: Briana Dawson I'm putting my Linden on Gabriele... Well, only if they are wrasslin naked. It's not proper mud wresting if they aren't naked - and I wouldn't get in with them if it's not proper mud wrestling.

I just asked you to stop repeating something that is a false representation of what I want - that is all. You have the right to discuss but repeating the same line over and over in your posts is starting to get annoying, especially when I have told you that this is not what I am wanting at all. I asked nicely - I will consider it a willful attack if you keep doing it as it is a false representation of me, my wants and adds nothing to the discussion. OK? Whatever I have done I have already apologised for - I don't see you apologising for anything you have done and you are at least as guilty as me if not more so.

i propose cole slaw wrestling...they do it here for bike week in an area called the cabbage patch...def a twist on the old mud theme. let me summarize what im seeing in this thread...just to be clear...rha and gab both like to be very precise in their words and their interpretations of other's posts....they disagree with each other...dont like the wording, the seemingly personal attacks etc. it doesnt matter the actual text...its the same sentiment over and over. unless im missing something here, we all get it so no need to repeat it anymore... ok back to the wrestling discussion...hehe

I don't like peanut butter or coleslaw, so I've got a better idea. let's talk about MEEEeeee Today I spent hours playing tennis on my Wii and got absolutely nowhere. I started the day on 1881 skill points and ended it on about 1820, and I went via the 1500s along the way. Now if that's not worth a very long discussion, I don't know what is.

From: Gabriele Graves *sighs* No that is not what I am saying. Read more closely, I was talking about the case which exists today with copy. People mix and match clothes by creating new folders with new copies of various parts which then they have to give a meaning name for or risk not being able to remember what it is. This leads to massive proliferation of combinations that blow out people inventories. If the items were trans this would not happen. People would likely do what I do, keep outfits in the same folder they came in but file them in a meaning subfolder, and when they want to mix and match they would look for the first outfit they want, wear an item, look for the next outfit they want something from and wear an item or two from there also. The most time consuming part of mixing and matching outfits is deciding what goes well together, not the searching for it - or at least this should be the case and is true in my case. This is where I have to jump in and express my disagreement. I am one of those people who like to create "franken-outfits" from what I have in my inventory. As you stated, "the most time consuming part of mixing and matching outfits is deciding what goes well together", and the easiest way for me to remember these combinations for future use is to create outfit folders, with copies of the various outfit components. Until such time as LL impements symbolic links within the inventory system so I can simply copy a link to an item rather than copy the whole item, the easiest way currently available for us mix-and-match types is to create copies and put them into outfit folders. I will not buy no-copy clothing for exactly that reason. I also generally avoid no-mod clothing like the plague, which ties into another reason I will not buy no-copy clothing.
