personally, my bloated messy inventory is preferable to spending boat loads of time sorting it...i have lots more fun things to do in sl...LOL i spend a few min getting dressed every day...that cant possibly add up to the hours some folks spend sorting and dragging inventory items, so i choose to avoid what i consider to be wasted time at all costs...hehe From my own experience, it took a very long time to sort mine out at the beginning but it takes very little time now because I file as I go. |

I like peanut butter and bacon sandwiches. ok so a total change of subject, but I could not help but notice this... never tried pb and bacon, though it does sound different I like pb and mayo (for the same reason, kinda, pb and the semi saltiness of the mayo) _____________________

Systems are already being designed for operating systems to do this - and unlike files, SL inventory items are basically stored in a full database already. Many variations on organisation? Let the user change between them with a menu. That latter point doesn't really change very much because if the items are given to the next generation it doesn't in particular matter when it happens. And yes, new things are important but equally sales of existing items are important too. Especially since, the "themes" of SL tend to be fairly static and as such new things tend to be evolutionary rather than revolutionary. |

How about is anyone else experiencing a real slowness upon replies and edits here on the forums today? |

I have now apologised if that is the case. Nobody else seems to be apologising despite the same being true. Nope, so far just you and eku. Many people have responded here and I have not felt attacked. It is possible in some cases but in others people just do it for the fun of geting a rise out of people. That is never my agenda though, that I can speak for. It is not how I come across to everyone though. We are part of a tiny group of people that share a common failure to communicate with each other - it happens. No for once I actually understand what you are saying. I may not agree with it but I understand it. you think it is not how you come across to everyone. Not everyone speaks out. and yes we are a small group it seemed as though you were agreeing with me *shrug* and for the record, what you thought were attacks, were never attacks... only observations, only you can control if it feels like an attack or not (just as I have been trying to learn, not everything I see is an attack against me, even if my mind says.. yes it is) _____________________

ok so a total change of subject, but I could not help but notice this... never tried pb and bacon, though it does sound different I like pb and mayo (for the same reason, kinda, pb and the semi saltiness of the mayo) eku's PB and bacon delight... fry 2 or 3 slices of bacon till crisp and crumbly.. then crumble it up take one slice of preferred bread.. (or toast, or bagel or whatever) butter it very lightly (no margarine allowed.. go without if you have to but science has proven that cockroaches wont eat margarine) spread desired thickness of PB all over the bread (or whatever) sprinkle the hot crumbled bacon on top .. and either cover with another slice of desired bread (or whatever) and commence eating. best with very cold milk or very hot coffee. bon apetit _____________________

No Mod Shapes..... No Mod Furniture.... The cons of no mod shapes are obvious. No Mod furniture means people who are normal real life sized in SL often have their limbs intersecting the furniture, and with no mod it cannot be adjusted, therefore it is useless to me or people in 5'-5'8" range. Its refected in the price- 50% of the cost of a Mod. Historically most sales for Shapes are Mod, as people prefer to tweak them, I guess the ones that choose "No Mod" might be something to do with their own personal budgets and what they can afford. They have a choice at the end of day. My Kids shapes however are all Mod. Majority of our furniture is Mod & Tfr, just one or two items that are not, which might have to be re-visited as it could have been error in setting them to begin with. |

OK moving on gets my vote too - talking about bacon and mayo does not. Lets try for a topic at least SL related. How about is anyone else experiencing a real slowness upon replies and edits here on the forums today? oh gee excuse me for talking a little about RL, it is not like I am the only one to ever say something non SL related I too am all for moving on, even if it is talking about bacon and mayo (funny how you picked the one I said, and not the one combo said by another) very interesting... and hell yes, I keep getting time outs, and have to go back and try entering it again! thought it was just me from messing with my firewall yesterday _____________________

I am not judging anyone I am saying that being organised is better than not being organised. However I do believe copying parts of outfits to many folders and making new franken outfits can lead to disorganisation and inventory bloat. Surely that is not that hard to see? Again I am not saying this is the case with you. Now can we move on? (missed this post due to the damn slowness of the forums today) well, being organized is better to you I personally prefer my inventory unorganized, organization drive me bugshit... I hate massive structure like that, too rigid so what works for you, may not necessarily work for another therefor, not all things out there will be to your liking, and you can not change that (nor can anyone else) just as you may have to pass on something because the perms are copy, others will pass one something be cause the perms are transfer _____________________

I had not seen eku's post until after I posted, just yours, that is simple to explain. All I saw from eku before that was "yes i would like to move on too" It gets through eventually - just really slow. |

therefor, not all things out there will be to your liking, and you can not change that (nor can anyone else) Conventional wisdom says that finding things in an organised filing system will always be faster and easier than trying to find things in a storage that is disorganised. I was not saying that anyone cannot have a disorganised inventory if they should want. I will dispute though that it is better than being organised though. It is not "my way' though nor does it mean I want things my way. So please can you stop repeating that? |

Bots don't like peanut butter at all, no matter what accompanies it. They have great taste

Why don't you girls settle it in the mud wrestling ring/bath. I'll get in too - as the referee, of course
