Maybe this is a common problem then. It's hard to "meet" ppl in SL just like RL.

I'm always alone, even when I go around other people. Sometimes someone will IM to comment on my hair/skin/clothes but then fade off.. I'll ask why and they always say that I seem too busy.

Too busy?.. Unless it's business related, I never talk to anyone.. Lol.

It seems hard to meet people on here sometimes.. It just takes alot of patience! =)

Well you know this is a question i have indeed pondered from time to time, (no not joking either).
I have yet to see a shy guy really in sl, but i have seen male avs just standing there and not doing anything, looking around and tp'ing out.

I have seen alot of single girls always dancing alone, i think "what the?" .
Beats me why the boys dont want to dance, perhaps they dont want to lower their perceved coolness level or something.

Im actually in Photoshop atm..lol..maybe that's one reason I dont meet very many ppl. Seriously, Ive had ppl say maybe they're intimidated..but my god..Im the goofiest, easy goingest person around! Im just one of the guys! No reason to be scared!

Well, I know its hard to find really good guy dances, so maybe you have a point, although it seems that most men arent shy when it comes to griefing or asking for secks..but just to dance, they do.

Greifing and asking for what they know they probably wont get is easier for some rather than having a decent conversation about even the simplest things, thats what it seems to me anyway.

Why talk and waste time for an hour when you can go to the next and ask the same question 50 times at different venues and hope for even a small percentage return with the answer of yes.

Oh yeah, and the above is not my attitude either, just what i know to be right.
I have often been mistakenly judged cos of how i look and that could be a problem in your case, but id say this thread will help

same as that other thread, i don`t know anyone so i`ll throw some personal expirience in for analysis as this catagory is my home

don`t know anyone except 2-3 people and they hardly login so go no where

look around for a place to listen to some music and all you see are silent avi`s with no chatting wich makes me wonder "what ever" and leave

no idea what to say as in rl i`m pretty much to myself aswell, people at the hangout might have noticed i`d drop in, say hi and dissapear into my own world to tp out some time later cause i feel pretty much like dead weight

using a female avi, every one say they don`t care, trust me, that isn`t true

as you`ve said, male avi`s IM`ing if they can stick it and the usual wannabe griefers wich go after female avi`s (bad mistake here ) and general rudeness


so why , some, males don`t bother to make contact is pretty simple and has nothing to do with rl, i`d never ask a girl in rl to dance either as i don`t have the guts for it

Ladies -- you know, in real life you have to be picky and careful. That's built into your very genes. After all, a simple flirtation could ultimately result in a 9 month ordeal - no make that an 18 year ordeal. Not to take the wonder out of romance, but you really HAVE to be careful who you even give the time of day to.

We guys are used to that, so we have to be fairly careful in not scaring you off - at least those guys with a modicum of sensitivity. The more attractive the woman, the more this may apply. And almost all ladies in SL are extremely attractive . . .

I'm introverted in real life, but not cripplingly so. In the virtual world I still take everything at face value, so I don't much interact with anyone because of this built in reticence to disturb an attractive woman. I'm not entirely sure why in SL the effect is so much worse, but it is.

It's a sad joke that nature has played on everyone.

Maybe I should make a club just for shy/introvert people..but god..then no one would dance OR talk!

Not quite as bad now, as I used to be, other than this week, because I got a new sim and moved, brought on a few new tenants, and in modeling school...whew!

But other than this week, my life is much slower than it used to be

Yummy you're smart, you're obviously talented and your post have always been interesting, never seen a post that is too emotional or depressing here from you.
Trust me you're not missing out much, if they are anything like the the gay guys that I have encounter here are extremely boring and uninteresting even if they do make it on pose ball.
I can say most of women I have encountered even one I spent 10k on was quite shallow and uninteresting too.
But perhaps its because I am very much a introvert too but on the severely depressed side, and I think very deeply about things, tend to have certain first life things that carry over here that prevent me from finding interesting and stimulating exchanges with most of people I encounter.
I don't find clubs that stimulating, and socializing is usually all around "Wootz" or discussions for tend to be focused on shopping or other things I just don't find that interesting and nothing too deeper.
D&S and free sex or sex oriented crowd I find pretty boring with few interesting qualities
that come across when we discuss things, nor can I really relate to them, or vice versa.
Most of my close friends are females too here, I have very few male buddies I spend time with.
Sometimes I think I get stuck in certain train of thought that guards me from really letting others in and I just don't get the romantic syrupy pose ball crud it just seems too fake to me.
Guys seem to tend to want it casual and fun, and if they are intellectual and creative are very self absorbed in their own creative projects and business ventures and just don't have time for much else.
