Because if you are wasting your time on activism when you could be chasing men, you are not smart enough.

Pep (It's self-referentially conclusive.)

I can imagine the confusion it must cause you, when the supposedly limited number of smart women, seem to be kicking the crap out of the boys in the educational systems of most Western Democracies.

Evidence please?

Pep (And please don't quote exam results; they merely reflect an ability to focus on passing exams, rather than using your smarts to enjoy life)

PS But please feel free to reference the number of females in CEO, CFO, CSO or CTO positions.

Do your own research ... I don't collect a paycheck from you. If you doubt it, then disprove it.

Just to be helpful ... Exams and class ranking are indeed the measure of the educational system, which was my claim. A CEO, CFO, CSO or CTO is not part of that system, and no claim was made that women are kicking anyone's butt in those areas. Given the current level of gain, it will be another twenty years before women reach a level playing field in those areas. Projecting that far out is really only guesswork.

Perhaps you should read things a little more carefully. :D

I wish I could run forwards as fast as you can backtrack! You won't prove it because you *can't* prove it. Which tends to reduce any argument you base on that premise to a heap of dusty rubble. :p

And *YOU* should be the one reading things more carefully. Since when does "smart" equate to the ability to sit inside on a sunny day reading Pride and Prejudice rather than learning about teamwork playing soccer in the park with your mates; or watching endless reruns of "I Love Lucy" for a Media Studies project as opposed to discovering exotic cuisines after the bar is closed? That's the main reason some females appear to do better in some examinations. Thank you, but as I have said, I'll stick with the smart birds who manage to game the system *now* rather than whinge about glass ceilings and think they are doing great in the promotion stakes until the biological timeclock kicks in and their careers get shot to pieces.

Pep (You are proving my point. ;) )

I'm not backtracking. My original point was related to educational systems. You are the one that brought executive scales into the mix. The only backtracking I'm doing, is limiting commentary to a point that was actually made by me.

No worries though ... I'm just rattling your cage anyway. I've been in the hosptial all week, it's 85 degrees out, and I want to go to the beach.

Check what you said. It isn't the smart women who are getting better exam results than the guys.

It's an easy case for a man to make, as you will never have to live life as a woman.

I myself choose to sacrifice a little fun in order to ensure that I don't end up waiting tables in my 40's, or married to some self-important blowhard.

But, I'm dumb that way ...

And you think sacrificing a little fun is likely to reduce your risk of either of those occurring. :D

Pep (Pleased to have to shave every day)

PS Must have been a very short stroll.

Actually, your original point related intelligence to good performance in the educational system.

While I'm sure there are a lot of very intelligent women, I don't think the western educational system is very good indicator of intelligence. In fact, the western educational system is "crap" in many ways.

I think the point Pep is making is that intelligence is demonstrated in many other areas of life (perhaps better than the educational system).

Thank you Vance. I am a little concerned that perhaps you don't realise that agreeing with me ;) and even worse, being right  means you will be accused of being one of my alts!

Pep (Really smart women are nodding their heads while reading this and of course, won't post their own agreement! :D )

You mean, post pictures of their avatars. Of themselves - *that* would be really interesting.

I original point related no such thing. It said:

The only "point" was baiting Pep. I'm bored ... I apologize. ;)

I'm also 5'9" in Second Life, just to avoid being too far off topic.

LOL. I'm sure she meant "African" countries.

/me hangs head in shame

I was referring to two cultures within America ("countries" was a mistyping of what I was thinking - if "culture" is not the correct word, someone please correct me as it was definitely not my intention to be offensive...or confusing...lol) in which I have personal friends that have told me that, in general, the men prefer larger women than the average Caucasian male. These were Hispanic and African-American friends.

(Hope that clears that up *smiles*)

Since you seem unable to read your own post I will point out again that it isn't the ***smart*** women who are outperforming the boys within the educational systems.

Pep (Perhaps the aberrant comma in your quote confused you. Don't they include punctuation competence in GPA?)

PS 8 foot 6 inches in rl so I am not sure what the point of this thread is. :p

LOL...I was just thinking of adding a post to ask Rha if she realized where her OP would go in this thread. :)

Except for my culture/countries gaffe, I'm enjoying the thread and the viewpoints.

Education != intelligence. I haz a GED and an epic paying engineering job. I often find myself running circles around the credentialed engineers here in project completion and quality. I wouldn't exchange that for the world. =^-^=

I totally agree. Education does not equal intelligence, (and I never said it did ... there are just some people that said I did ;) ) and neither is the sole factor in determining pay scale.

However, it's hard to argue with USA + GPA = HIGH PAY. I just graduated from one of the better schools in the South. I received a lot of job offers, and the company I have been working for the past few years doubled my pay to keep me ... and I'm still just as dumb as I was before I got the diploma.
