Great news Sal - be aware that Sat afternoons are TSMGO rehearsals (2pm SL) and Sundays are Combat Cards (1pm SL). I'm free from 12noon SL (give or take 10 mins) most days.

Combat Cards is 2 ;D

CC at 2pm? I thought you and Doc moved it to 1pm SL as that was more Euro friendly (9pm GMT, 10pm western Europe) a few week ago, when you were taking snaps for the new cards.

Hi Os, maybe we can have a word with Doc then - the general feeling was a 9pm GMT (which is now 1pm SL) would be better for all (2pm SL is 11pm for poor Maxie)

I hope you all figure out a good time for your combat training... you'll need to be in top form if we encounter any trouble in the search. I'm sending you all a notecard with all the particulars today for the intel briefing, set to commence at 12:00 Noon SLT on this Sunday, April 6th.

"... I went an saw Torley, who was a he today. A lotta stuff was discussed, including the issue at Oak Grove an his old land, which was attributed to "prim drift." 'course, them prims musta drifted a long, long ways.

Anyways, I asked about Magellan at one point, an Torley said dat the last he heard was dat he disappeared after his adventures to Heterocera Atoll, and dat Torley had not heard nor seen Magellan since. Torley also mentioned not hearing what if anyting happened to Magellan's crew.

Kim Anubis was there too, an may be willing to help, an said someting about wanting to work on a "Magellan Finder." Tole her to talk to Salazar Jack. Maybe she can help us a bit.

Torley moved quickly to talkin' about how to log in with multiple SLs an stuff about "vidtuts." Also mentioned someting about a "Materials project." Must remember to ask more about dat..."

As far as I know, I should be able to be there Sunday... RL is a bit chaotic at the moment, but I'll help in the search however I can!

Great info, Mari. I wonder who Torley heard that from? I'll make sure to send Kim the notice about the meeting.

Cracking job, Marianne! I think you've uncovered some important leads there - did Torley look shifty or worried when he answered you? He may be under pressure to keep mum, you know...

As for the Magellan / Philip photo, blimey! Split at birth, I'd say. Now Philip is going to have free time on his hands, I wonder if Magellan will be heard from more?

Well, come to tink of it, he was awfully quick to change th' topic -- but then again, it's not too uncommon with the sorta crowd dat goes to th' office hours. This might bear further researchin'!

Anyone heard anyting more from Guy?

Dr Linden, I presume?

News of the search party meeting has been telegraphed to everyone in the Independent State of Caledon, and I asked them to show up with their pith helmets at the ready, if they could.

If I can make it whatsoever I'll be there too - we can't leave Magellan lost in an environment *very* likely to be uncivilised!

I get this great visual images...

From the south comes a contigent of victorian clad explorers, some with fantastical, steam-driven devices in the sea, on land, and within the air. To the north, a compliment of repurposed Privateer Space ships, starfleet ships and other flying vehicles. To the east is a group of child avatars on tricyckes, bicycles, and scooters, as well as a brace of tinies and a few large beasts from Avaria and the Isle of Wyrms. Finally, the the west, mechanized units from in-grid's wargamers mix with elves and other fey folks. Even a few blingtards and others can be seen in the crowd.

All of them with one thing on their mind. Where in the world is Magellan... and does he need our help?

I dream big.

Well, naturally - would there be any other way of doing it?

Furthermore, I'll bet we find him! Honestly, if we search hard enough - how could we possibly not find him? We shall find something! Perhaps he is surrounded by natural dangers. Perhaps he has 'gone native' to rescue a lost civilisation. Perhaps he is simply lost himself, on some trackless continent as yet undiscovered?

His permanent loss, or at least, evidence of his fate *must* turn up eventually. Somehow, somewhere. It just takes dauntless perseverance and the will to get the job done, and the man will be found.

Any other possibility I refuse to even consider.

We shall spread like a fire to all corners of this world, our vehicles will take us to the furthest reaches and the our feet will take us even further. Like night we shall cover the land and everywhere we touch voices will be raised "Have you seen him? Have you seen Magellan? until, like a flaming arrow to a straw roof, our message will catch and leap and run ahead of us. Villages will await our arrival, wandering tradesfolk will look for us on the horizon, the Grid itself will resonate with our passing.

When gather soon, be sure of one thing and one thing alone. No matter how hard the trail, no matter how many of us are lost and fall beside the path, no matter what it costs any of us, we will find him. We will find him and bring him home.

Thank you for inviting me to join the search! As Mari mentioned, I am currently developing a Magellan Finder to help in our quest. Does anyone happen to know Magellan's favorite color? I want to be certain to include it on the Bling Array, as well as on Der Blinkenlights Panel.

After reading about, and seeing firsthand, how much he likes to imbibe I'd have to say amber would be his color of choice!

Noted! Thanks. :) Hmm . . . does anyone have (or is anyone) a St. Bernard with a cask attached to its collar?
