Are you staying home to spend the day in front of the TV, watching the Inaugural and all?

Or using it as an excuse to stay home?

Or, something?

Nope, gonna have to work extra to pay for the tax increases I see everytime someone mentions a middle class tax reduction.

I'll be at work also but my boss has graciously offered myself and my one co-worker the use of the conference room tv to watch the festivities- If I promise him to at least turn the tv on, you think he will let me sit it out in SL?

LOL! Can't hurt to ask!

Is there a place in SL that is related to the Inaugural?

No for me. I'm afraid I'll be at work as usual. I'm sure I'll see plenty of it on the tube that night.

Off topic but somewhat related. Yesterday I spoke with my young niece who lives in DC. Here office is closed tomorrow so they won't have to fight the crowds and traffic jams to get to work. She was telling me about seeing famous people since she started working in DC. She told me about seeing Springsteen while dining out with friends on Friday.

Then she told me about how she almost ran over Newt Gringrich as he crossed the street against the light.

I told her she should drive faster. :D

ROFLMAO!
I agree with your sentiments.

I will be at a party with a large group of people and several TVs (at least one projecting onto a screen) plenty of food, drink, and desserts. It will last from mid morning until late afternoon. I will be working early in the morning and taking the rest of the day off.

Home today for the holiday, but no way would I waste a vacation day to watch my taxes go up.

Bahah... I saw Newt Gingrich at the Atlanta airport one time. I flipped him off. He didn't see me do it, but other people around me did and laughed. And it felt good even though he didn't see it. :D

If I could be assured that something would go wrong with the radio signals and the chips buried in the brains of all the government officials, media and entertainment bigwigs would all explode at once, then I might watch. But instead I think I will wander to the cattle pasture that is down from my house and watch the bull defecate. Won't be much difference at all from the speeches and reporting.

Too bad the poll was limited to only one selection. I'll not only be staying home (I'll actually be telecommuting), but I'll be having an inauguration party with PIE!

Count yourself lucky if you make enough to have your taxes go up under Obama. I make less that half that amount. Even unlicensed plumbers named Joe don't come close.

Don't worry about it. If you don't like the flavor, you can always trade it at lunch for someone's PBJ sandwich.
