#1. Yes I have been through basic training. Funny back then we didn't put up with whiners.

#3 Am I part of this clique that demands lock step belief and opinion? If so, have you ever read any of my posts? I have taken cross opinions with most everyone who posts on this board at one time or another. The only time I ever get flamed or attacked is by a few professional outsiders such as yourself.

You must really dig the WOW forums, where anytime anyone offers an opinion, people troll the Armory and past posts in hopes of finding something completely unrelated to the subject at hand with which to try and win the argument.

Since I was the only other one who stated I had been through basic, I guess it seemed like you were referring to me.

And I am not against cliques in general. I probably belong to a couple myself. I am against cliques who try to throw their weight around, even if it isn't in any perceivable organized fashion at all.

No. I believe this was just used as one example of the norm here. It isn't based just on one incident like now with the op. Anyone who thinks or says this sort of thing doesn't happen here is either lying, deceiving themselves or trying to do it to others.

Okay so now we can't agree with anyone at all without being labled a clique. (even if we have never even met or talked to the person we agree with) So from now on I am just going to argue with everyone... you asked for it...

Clique #3 - People who believe there's a clique.

I don't know which is more ridiculous. Worrying about the existance of a Clique, or worrying about and denying being in one.What Fucking difference does it make, who agrees with who and who doesn't? It used to be you could get answers to questions, have some fun, get into some spirited debates, and generally be entertained here. Now it's just become the flaming bag of dogshit on the porch. I've been a round for a while. I know pretty much who fits the bill and who doesn't. You don't need to worry that I think you are part of the clique, unless you continue to try and force it by acting like you are.

Some of you are over doing it by taking the saying of clique literally. It's not a clique or gang like with colors or you don't have a place where you hang out to come together as clubs or gangs do. It's not about this but I suspect most of you are clever enough to already know this. But a few just use this in defense to ridicule whenever the word comes up.

You've proven me right. You've done exactly what I said earlier which I again posted above. When someone doesn't follow your way of thinking you'll do exactly as I said. This is what you've done to Kismet and this is what you always do. The thing is some people are not followers and tend to hold their ground which results in what's happened. There are those who actually form their own opinions and aren't 'yes men/women' who go around sniffing each others butts.

You not only don't agree but you try to put down anyone who doesn't see it your way. Deny it all you want, twist it around any shape you think will make your argument seem right, it's right here in these forums for all to see.

I just spent over an hour researching and trying to document an edit to a post in another thread of this very Forum, where a resident asked for help doing something that will make her Second Life experience more productive and fun, and where a bunch of regular contributors eagerly offered constructive suggestions.

Meanwhile, in this thread, everyone comes away looking and feeling slightly worse for the experience.

I suppose the trick is in knowing when to just mute and march on.

I agree with the gist of what you've said here, and I know I get a bit hot under the collar and can make things worse. So after this post, I will take my leave.

I wouldn't consider my arguments here as worrying though. I am not worried about it, and when I get on to the next thing It will be forgotten.

All I ask, is that people consider not using this forum to flex their e-peens, which is only made worse when there seems to be a core of people who are ALWAYS in these threads ridiculing and talking smack while trading little inside jokes DESIGNED to make others feel as if they are on the outside, (which doesn't include you, Brenda - I nearly always agree with your take on things, and you don't seem to get off on the back slapping, group garbage). I am sorry if it is hard for some to swallow, but that IS (negative) clique behavior.
