I didn't say your arguments was invalid and I addressed it in my first post. I just think you chose a terrible place to post it. You took an indefensible position and dug in to defend it. You haven't addressed my challenge, which was to find a thread where someone stated a minority opinion and did so respectfully and was flamed for it. If someone acts like a jackass and states any opinion, of course they are going to get flack. Show me a thread where someone stated an opinion that was not in the majority and didn't act like a jerk about it and got hammered. In fact, you should be able to show a consistent pattern of people with unpopular opinions being ostracized. If you can't do that, then your argument about the "clique" demanding adherence to the popular opinions has no merit.

Take this thread for example - you expressed an unpopular opinion, but you did it in a snotty, belligerent manner, so this one doesn't count. Colette expressed the opinion that we were beating up too much on Bully and nobody flamed her - they just disagreed. You're taking some heat because of the way you are addressing people. It's ok, you can say what you want, however you want, but you have to realize how people are going to react. If you care, then don't act like that. If you don't care, then why on earth are you complaining?

Once the group has declared "fair game", they can be as snotty as they want, even calling some one a "griefer" as you did, without any proof of that. But WHOAH PARDNER, don't you DARE come along and challenge the kangaroo court or you will be called all sorts of nasty things, have all sorts of nasty insinuations made about you and be told to GTFO, and then be told YOU are the one who is being snotty and belligerent.

What it boils down to -- you can be as big of a jerk as you want, as long as the target has been cleared by the group. Just don't challenge that, or the group will project their own anger on to you.

This seems terribly unfair to me. I'm beiginning to think that you're just trolling here and you don't want a legitimate discussion. That's too bad. I see these accusations that somehow people are being oppressed and are not free to speak their minds and I get worried, because I would never want that to happen, but then I ask for clarifications and examples and I get this sort of abuse. Yahhh! And thennn.... we get a whole new round of bitching from the people bitching about people bitching! It's like when I am playing WoW (where second wave complainers can be even worse) and someone says something someone else may consider spam in the trade channel.
