Seriously though, there has got to be a way to get the lindens to take a chill pill. They are suspending and banning like crazy. And how would you know that unless you and your buddies are the ones being suspended banned? In which case you all probably deserved it. _____________________

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps.You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Your tolerance for griefers and a**holes is clearly much higher than mine. Somebody with two in-world suspensions on their record deserves zero sympathy and coddling like a child who doesn't know any better. 18 is old enough to vote and old enough to get shot at in some misbegotten war. Old enough to know how to behave and old enough to take whatever punshiment society chooses to hand out to those who fail to "play well with others." I vote you win the thread  _____________________

Also, I don't have tolerance for proven griefers, especially those who grief others on forums, and then try to pass it off as anything but, just because they have been around for a while, are really, really focused on receiving affirmation from their friends, and latched on to some sort of team spirit as if it were the last blade of grass on earth and gravity suddenly disappeared. Now, let all the in-jokes and attempts at derailment continue. That's what people do when they feel uncomfortable with the topic at hand. |

Also, I was referring to your esteem, as I am sure you realize. And I wouldn't be surprised to find that she may have an esteem issue. But at least she has the excuse of being 18 and possibly not even graduated from High School yet.... And.... it's funny you mention coddling, because that's exactly what I feel may have happened in the homes in which many of the in-crowd here grew up in - mommy and daddy allowed Susie and Johnny to always be right, so they drag that over with them, into adulthood. Only mommy and daddy aren't there to always dole out the affirmations anymore, so they look to the gang. Most of the in crowd when I was in High School fit that bill to a T. |

She does think Chris Norse has a self-esteem problem. All this time I just thought he was a libertarian. Turns out it's just low self-esteem. My bad. Kismet - is it possible you're just being mean-spirited for the sake of being mean-spirited? Or do you know something about the OP we don't? She's been suspended twice, and is apparently doing something that can get her suspended again. She wants to know how far she can push the rules before she gets banned and appears to be planning on coming back with an alt when the inevitable happens. She says the Lindens are banning people left and right, which isn't really the experience of anyone here, so she must be hanging around with a group that is doing things to get banned. It's not like a lot of assumptions are being made. She's pretty much hanging herself here. If you just want to take an opportunity to attack the regular posters in the forums, you might choose an issue that gives you a stronger argument than this one - just from a strategic point of view. It's tough to hang your hat on this one. There are other good opportunities to attack us all than this one. _____________________
