Strikes me as funny that Phil is so against profanity (which personally I very seldom use) but thinks that lying is an acceptable business practice. _____________________

and here we have no idea what she said to the linden that unbanned her, for all we know it might have been a friend who is a linden that she ran to, to get unbanned again, those who know her will take her at her word, those who do not, will always have doubts as to what really happened and what is not being said. the only ones who know for sure are Sarah, and the linden who set the suspension and the one who lifted it. For all we know, the one who lifted it might be getting reprimanded as we speak for over stepping their limits. *shrug* I can not help but think, just like many other situations that come up in these forums, that we are not getting the whole story. (many of you make this same very comment when it pertains to other people, that we are not hearing the whole story, and only hearing one side of it) Absolutely true Rha. But our perceptions drive our reality, and our perceptions are almost never built upon full information. So we are left to form our perceptions from the little information available to us. The fact of Sarah's suspension, and subsequent reversal. Her story (also expanded upon at her blog) about what happened, and the steps she took to challenge the initial decision. Her reputation in the community as a generally good person, and one who is honest in even unpleasant situations. LL's customer service reputation, and the furor surrounding LL's recent pricing decision that acted as the light thrown on this powder keg. Some will weigh that information, and tsk at Sarah's choice of words, but applaud her intention, and be happy that what started as a horrible situation was happily resolved. Others will wring their hands at her emotional outburst using a crude vernacular, frown disapprovingly at her, and congratulate LL for trying to fight the lack of courtesy that is tearing the moral fabric of our society. And...others will bring the popcorn and watch the first two groups go at it. ![]() edt: Oh...is that a serious enough post? _____________________

There's nothiung funny about it. I don't lie as a business practise. I know you think differently, but it's hardly my fault that you are unable to see things as they are. Falsifying your traffic counts is lying. If you can't understand that, maybe you need a course or two in ethics. Like I said before, you are a man without honor. _____________________

Or pay the bum outside 5 bucks to do it for you so you don't embarrass yourself by cussing in front of shoppers who you may be friends with. Ok, halfway through catching up in this joke of a thread ... Sarah: Grow up a bit. The message is what counts, not the mash up of data that is not ever a real person that is being used to post it. Christ ... The way some people treat a NAME in this place, you'd think they had committed some great and terrible crime for using what amounts to yet another name, belonging to a mess of data which can not exist in the real world. to any and everyone still ranting about there being an alt posting comments and screaming 'coward': Call me when LL allows you to use your real life name on here ... and when you are actually using it - THEN you have a leg to stand on. _____________________

I don't falsify them. maybe you need a course or two in reality. Running traffic bots isn't falsifying? Or have you scrapped them and only rely upon actual customers for your traffic? _____________________

The restaurant analogy is apples and oranges. One is a monthly service paid for in advance. The other is an event paid for at the time of consumption. Let's say I had an account with a catering company who provides a spread for weekly/daily meetings. And while in a conference with other customers their rep is telling me they will be raising my rates by 67 percent. I get pissed, stand up, and say F The Company. Does that give them the right to, with no warning, not deliver the spread at the next function? Can you say...lawsuit? Yes, actually it does: especially if they have had you read and sign a policy stating that they can terminate service with you at any time, for any reason. Go read the ToS and come back when it's sunk it. _____________________

In what way? That I am going to yield the field. Instead of play out the following script. me: LL overreacted You: Did not me: did too you: did not ....(12 hours later) me: did too you:did not me: look this isn't an argument! you: yes it is me: no it isn't it's just contradiction you: no it isn't me: yes it is (...and so forth...) _____________________

But that's a micro effect, and I'm really talking about a bigger resolution. Startrax left, so he made no more sculptures, and SL doesn't now have the sculptures that he might have made since then, but SL didn't buckle or even twitch. It continued to grow and develope as though he'd never been in it. That's the resolution I'm talking about. If Sarah packed up today, what effect would it have. If someone as influential as Sarah leaves, I'm certainly gonna get nervous sticking around. I think others will too. What if Ain'tShe Sweet left tomorrow? I'd be gone, baby, gone. _____________________

For the last time too. I have no faith that attending Linden meetings makes any difference at all, so I have no reason to attend them. I was referring to the Aloof and Jaded meetings. |

The traffic numbers are totally accurate - not false. If you want a bots thread, or an anit-Phil thread, perhaps you'd like to start one. This thread isn't about that. No, this is about you being a hypocrite. You attack someone for using a word and maybe offending other people. But you, on a daily basis, use false numbers to promote yourself. Play your little word games so you can sooth your conscience. What is the proverb........."remove the beam from your eye before you worry about the mote in your neighbor's." _____________________
