I hate "cuddling" also. There's too much "pillow talk" these days.

I concur. Pillow talk should be replaced with a** slapping or cigarette smoking. :P

I think, personally anyway, that I agree.

Do you think that is a gendered perspective? Do men care more about sexual "infidelity" or "sharing"?

Some studies suggest that women are more likely to be jealous of signs that their partner is unfaithful emotionally, and that men are more likely to be jealous of signs that their partner is unfaithful sexually... this agrees with the expectations in evolutionary psychology (this will open a whole 'notha can of worms!! but basically women unconsciously or consciously seek out men with resources...whatever that means in their specific culture..usually money... and an emotional bond with another woman or women may lead to him leaving or spending his resources elsewhere... and men tend to seek out women who are fertile and want to ensure they are not cuckolded... see I told you this would open a can of worms!!)...

But there have been studies showing that both sexes are equally jealous in both instances... so far, I have seen nothing conclusive, but can only go by what I have observed in myself and my relationships... which tends to agree with the evolutionary perspective.

If you had posted that on SLUniverse, I could have responded with the laugh button. :)

I user has looked in on SLU once or twice just to see what it was like and thought it was a big, bad, scary place that made -this- one look like a model of gentle and decorous refinement.

A few bfs of mine have slept around - I dont really care as long as they realize I am doing the same.
The other girl may be a bit surprised, however.

In fact, I feel a husband would be a liability to me in my career and in my financial situation
Not too aware of the divorce laws in California, are you? Let's just say my ex considers me quite an asset and has plans to take her full share (more than half).

I have to go weep again.

Didn't miss it; quite the contrary; I deliberately didn't say anything.

Be right back. Weeping too much to be able to see the screen at the moment.

Heh!! Perhaps it is a Buddhist thing. Some of us do have feelings, yes! :D

Yes, but my marriage contract won't be drawn up in California - anyway, I let my lawyers work that out. I have that much sense. Never let your head be ruled by your heart.

More of my Grandmother's advice:
1. You can tell a man from Lanchashire, but you can't tell him much.
2. What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve for.
3. Any port in a storm.
4. There's plenty more pebbles on the beach.
5. Never let a man spoil your day.

I wasn't excited, I just can't type.

I'm sure there's an Andy somewhere in SL who could get me a bit excited, maybe....

Remember that in real my bed-partner sleeps in a guest house and NOT with me. And it IS a separate small house so I dont have to put up with him snuffling around all night.

Cuddling? Who do you think I am? Mummy? Buy a teddy bear!

That's not good. You should get rid of that! Then feelings, I mean - very non-Buddhist are feelings. It's all an illusion - don't be deceived into seeing anything as inherantly real.

Come to think of it, wasn't Pep the one who insisted we can't be held responsible for other's feelings?

LMAO, quite a visual, Jig, of something 'snuffling around' all night, are you sure you didn't leave a window open and some animal got in? Oh.......nvm :p

I wonder if there is a whatchacallit between degree-of-monogamous-feelings and length-of-cuddle-time?

Feelings are Buddhist... Allowing ourselves and others to be human is important... even if it is all an illusion :D
