No, I think the rule says only without their consent. If the things are revealed with their consent, or BY them, it isn't against rules.

No one said LL TOS. BTW, that's not true--the very post I gave as an example DID specify "against the ToS/CS". _____________________

A shopping area in the landing zone or a notecard with the names of some places that sell period correct clothing would be nice for places like this with strict dress codes.

I did not see where you quoted anyone's post. I saw where you quoted the LL TOS or CS pages. But, okay. I didn't say 'quoted', I said 'gave as an example'. Not to make a big thing of it--just to set the record straight. _____________________

Some places with their own shops don't want to send people off sim to other sims, too. They have a few shops there that cover the basics, except (I think) women's shoes. Ponsonby it isn't a big deal it's ok. I'm not sure what you mean by example, though. Do you mean where you mention that someone asked for the log? I meant as in, a specific post I could go and see what they said. But you're right, it isn't a huge deal, I got your main point. _____________________

I'm not sure what you mean by example, though. Do you mean where you mention that someone asked for the log? No, I meant near the bottom of post #298 where I wrote: And, in a related question: I've seen a couple or three posts in this thread claiming (for example, in post #271) that the original post violates the TOS. I meant as in, a specific post I could go and see what they said. Indeed: I always feel it's best to give a specific example of a post that illustrates the point being discussed. _____________________

Thanks again all for your suggestions.
At the moment I am creating a new entrance portal that gives our visitors some more space and allows them to visit a few shops trough the backdoor. This way I don't have to build the shops twice or a entire new portal somewhere outside the city with a teleport into the city. People can even visit Berlin to shop without actually having to cam all over the place or walk down the streets in modern clothing. It may not bring down incidents by 100% but either way it is a bit more friendly towards visitors. In the end we had a lot of visitors and many of them have become good friends. The club hasn't been empty at happy hour for weeks. |

I checked it out wearing my collie dog avatar and read the rules, it said
Wear 1920's Clothing, if you are a human avatar, -OR- be a realistic animal (cats and dogs that are realistic are welcome). = My avatar is very realistic, I wandered all over the 6,000 meter sky sim and saw everything, I only saw 4 avatars on radar, It's actually quite pretty and interesting, but very small of course, and that buskar organ music loop was nice the first 5 minutes then became an annoyance since it just repeats the same loop over and over forever. I didnt see anything going on and left after a few minutes. I guess I have to say it's their sim and they pay the bills and set the rules, so find another out of the 30,000 who want you and your donations if you feel you weren't welcome or were being staled by the polizie. If you have interest in a role play sim, I work with a set of 13 sims having a wild west 1860's theme which allows realistic animal avatars. Like the Berlin sim, there's some rules on authentic dress, keeping non role play chat to PM's in the public areas, animals dont talk or wear clothes, and you have to wear a meter. I own Arizona via way of a lease, drop in some time and wander around. |

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

The organ plays other tunes when clicked
![]() It can also be stopped. But on the other hand, I can imagine someone like that playing the damn thing in RL for ever. We have them here in Amsterdam, luckily they move on after a while. |
