Tired of vampire bites? Read this!

There is a certain irony to people necroposting on a vampire thread.

This particular topic is certainly sucking the life out of everyone who participates, I reckon.

Perhaps there has to be a stakeout for it

What is the Vampire Bite? I've been offered it at least 10 times today and denied it every time due to some advice.

It is an annoying "game" that has been thrust upon us. Spampires send you these bite requests, and if you accept, you get added to their database and they want to charge you to have it removed. The good vampires don't use that nonsense. We have our own resident vampire, the lovely Gabriele, who has a much better technique.

Mac's isn't bad, either.

Not a bad idea, honestly. I don't think anybody on the grid /isn't/ tired of the incessant "WANT SEX" or "WANT MONEY" morons that don't realize that if you fail at social skills and don't have a job in first life, you're probably going to be in the same situation in Second Life.

It's not anal retentive to expect people to respect the local culture even if they don't understand it. Begging for sex and money aren't acceptable behavior.

I would find that highly degrading and offending. I'm not a dog. I will not be fenced in. Despite what some of you may believe. Some bloodlines players do have a set of standards. I may be new to it but I'd never spam. As for keeping us from RPing in clubs. Simply state so and I know I stay out of your hair. I do not break rules set by the owners of establishments. As for the spammers, what clan they belong to (if any) may make a difference. I would hope you don't judge the whole party by the few bloodhounds you've met. We have as much a right to our games and Role Play as you do with the things you enjoy on SL.

I can't really understand why a garlic necklace should be necessary at all for people not interested in vampire role play.
If a certain set of role players don't understand common courtesy in SL, there is no reason to create elaborate solutions to make the rest of SL play according to their pipe.

If a vampire approaches me with a bite invite in a non-vampire sim, I just tell them where they can stuff their fangs. It's as simple as that. No garlic needed.

I play a lot of pretty extreme role plays in SL myself (not vampire related, though). I would never, ever, dream of expecting other people to participate in them outside those specific role play areas. Nor would I ever approach anyone expecting them to participate in role play unless I was certain they were in on it. Profiles is usually a good source of information for this. Consequently, I have never had any problems with people not levelling with me in RP.

So, why should vampires have this problem in SL in the first place? Unless the create the problem thmselves with their behaviour?

It's simply their response to the various problems of RP in SL and freeform RP in general.

First I have a nice little responder script that I run that asks the vampire if I can animate them as well, if they click yes then it does a very mean thing to their avatar, it's so much fun to watch them run around with their head up their bum.

Of course if the land they attack on is rez, then all is fixed with the appropriate application of Ownage.

so finally i have done and visited the bloodlinessim - you know im nosey
well it was interesting and i have had a lot of ims, but all vampires stayed friendly and polite.
one of the "vampires" told me bout the "gameplay" and now i know i never have had a bitrequest, im a "bite virgin"
i have a vampire as a friend now and i cannot see any problem with
