Since you bring up the spectre of "silent witnesses" . . . I've had a chat with a few disinterested parties, and they are all disgusted with Rhonda Huntress's vitriolic and unacceptable post, and think that you and the rest of the hunting party were off on a wild goose chase, and made fools of yourselves. Pep (Why should I lie? I have truth on my side.) On reflection, I suppose you did need to post about these anonymous parties as just another of your silly attempts at diverting the topic away from what it actually was. Failed! ![]() Listen, Pap. Do yourself a favour and let it go. It's the only way that the effect of such humiliation will fade away from inside you. I hope that helps you to help yourself. _____________________

Pap. A word of advice from one whose been there...
A long time ago I was on the receiving end of a real drubbing in this forum, and from a lot more people than were beating you up. You may remember it. It was because one person misunderstood what "many, perhaps most" meant in one of my posts. They wrongly jumped to the conclusion that it meant "the majority". Unfortunately, just about everyone else followed that lead, even coming up with things like, 'even though it doesn't actually mean the majority, you meant the majority'. They wanted me to have meant that. They were all being stupid, of course, but they gave me a real pasting. After it had finished, I was naturally affected, just as you are, and I hijacked a thread to vent my feelings about it. A day or two later I apologised for hijacking the thread, and that was the end of it. I let it go. That's what you should do - let it go. The longer you keep it going, the longer everyone here is reminded about what you are. _____________________

I preferred when it was about me doing a little jig with Jig that didn't involve actual dancing.

Okei i haven't read this particullar child avatar versus SL thread all the way through the end (i'm still on page 2 or something) but I gonna pipe in here.
I started here in SL about 2-3 months ago (this is my new and permanent main) and the only time I ever heard of a child avatar (and the HUGE controversy and how bad it is and all that /rolleyes) is on this forums. And in my 'loooong' time here in SL I have only met 2 child avatars and I wasn't creeped out by them at all. After all there is an adult playing these avatars and if they wan't to roleplay a child in a gosh, a "ROLEPLAY FRIENDLY" environment like SL. After all that is why most of us are here? To shed our skins and try to be someone else for a while?Btw. A child or a teen (in rl) wouldn't choose a child avatar to pranche around in here in SL. They will choose an adult avatar. Now. On the other hand if I were to witness a child avatar in adult region doing things children shouldn't do that is a different hand all together and THAT would definatly creep me out. Hell I would probably throw up. But I am a firm believer that people are allowed to roleplay what ever they want to roleplay here in SL without the hate and risk of being harrassed for it. This my 2 pieces. Pookie Breadbin. disclamer: english is not my 1st language so my typing can be somewhat screwy, especially if I'm tired or just woken up. |

There were plenty of people here who posted that the content of the outburst was way over the top, including me. you brought that outburst upon yourself - that's all. Pep (I am glad you have finally worked your way through to it.) _____________________

Please feel free to keep giving me unwanted advice I will ignore completely as it gives me the opportunity to remind readers of the disgusting posts which Rhonda Huntress wrote, wishing cancer on me. ![]() _____________________

Aaw. Did someone wish cancer on you? Aaw - poor soul. There there. Does mummy give you such a sheltered life that it's not only sticks and stones that hurt you? Just tell mummy all about it and I'm sure that she'll make it all better for you ![]() Is poor Pep all torn up because someone finally snapped at him? How terrible. By terrible I mean hilarious. _____________________

And now that it has deteriorated into Pep vs whomever-at-the-moment, I can ignore it and go on to more interesting threads. Yup. One of those times when the block/ignore feature really is your friend. ![]() _____________________

Everyone in this argument is making it very hard to enjoy the forums. I was trying to just ignore the whole thing, but that isn't being very effective.
I really enjoy many of Pep's posts. (Hears the gasps from the crowd, sacrilege I know.) I also enjoy Phil’s posts. I really don’t want to have to put anyone on ignore. Not that my personal appeal will make a difference, but we have all heard your grievance now Pep. Could we please please drop it? Phil please quit poking at it. This is hurting more than the original participants. I am really not enjoying the friendly fire. |

I agree with Whimsycallie. I don't want to put any of the main actors in this spat on ignore because, when they're not knocking seven bells out of each other, they're all worth reading. It's just they're making it so difficult to follow threads. I woudn't describe it as "friendly fire" so much as an infernal racket.
Phil, Pep.. why not start a special Phil vs Pep fight thread, and confine this particular feud to that, and then you and anyone else who's interested in the matter can go there there, and those of us who are bored stiff with your punch-up can read something else? That seems a solution that would keep everyone happy. |

Alright, Whimsy. I'll drop it now, but I don't think Pep will. He's plugging it in every thread he can, and he does give the appearance of stalking Rhonda's posts. That's just an appearance at the moment because there haven't been many yet. We'll see though. Just use the ignore feature. It won't make you any less of a man. When someone keeps quoting or participating (and I'm not without fault here)....just put them on ignore, too....then you don't see ANY of it. It works. What you can't see - you can't respond to. |
