What do you think of the child avatars seen about in second life? I never fail to feel creeped out whenever I see one. Especially when they are part of some weird virtual family.

I think this subject has been discussed to death and it would be really nice if people would occasionally use the search feature.

I find lots of things in SL odd. I find a few creepy. Some of them may even be things you enjoy. I don't spend my time bringing them to the forum for everyone elses judgement.

I personally have found value in playing a child alt with a family. I don't exactly understand what is creepy about recreating a healthy family bond. *shrugs* To each thier own.

It means In Before The Lock.. the meaning is that this subject will degenerate until the thread needs to be locked.

Well excuse me for breathing your royal highness but I presumed that I lived in a free world with free speech silly me :) Oh and Healthy family bond has nothing to do with virtual infantilism by the way

Did I come off higher then thou? If so I must have been responding to the tone of the original post.

Also you didn't say infants avatars. You specifically said child. I have no experience with infant avs. I don't know what they are recreating. I hadn't really tried to look at SL from an infant aspect. It is not an interest of mine.

Why on earth would you be creeped out? I could see that if they were in an adult place but that's illegal and most people who have kid avatars have no interest in that stuff anyway.

Do you also get creeped out by nekos and furries?

Hey Special .. looks like you're relatively new to the forums but this topic has been discussed to death in the past, hence the negative responses you're getting. People tend to feel ambivalent about child avs or have strong visceral reactions to them. You can probably find quite a few threads discussing this topic ad nauseum here: /invalid_link.html This wiki article might also shed some light on why some folks choose to portray themselves with child avatars and various LL policies regarding their usage. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Child_Avatar
