I shouldn't have to explain myself, if you are going to generalize and stereotype W-Hat members all day then I am not going to stop you. Personally, I don't take SL seriously enough to care.

The next time you get offended and start throwing around the words 'hate crime', really think about what you are saying. Really, think about it.

And just for the record, I don't see very many people posting on this thread saying that all of W-Hat should be banned. Mostly I see people saying that bullies, haters and griefers should be banned.

I am pretty neutral about furries. I have friends in IRC and SL who are furries. I even draw pictures of furries on rare occasions. I also have an SA forums account. Uh-oh, those two things are like antimatter! Take cover, everybody!!!

There are well over 30,000 people on the SA forums. A vocal minority of these people are furry-haters. Some of these people hate furries because they find the idea distasteful. Others hate furries because Lowtax hates furries. Still others hate them because they, personally, have had bad experiences with "the furries that other furries hate," to quote Ryen. I'm sure you all know the ones I'm talking about, either from direct experience, or from reading about them - the ones who hijacked the fandom, and gave it its current public (and undeserved, IMHO) reputation as a three-cocked-fox bukkake festival. I have corresponded directly with these fuckers. They are messed up.

Hmm... Two groups, goons and furries... Both mostly harmless, and both with highly visible, controversial subgroups. Try to wrap your heads around that one, 'cause as I see it, that is exactly what is going on here.

And then, you have folks like Devlin, who make broad, sweeping generalizations about groups he isn't a member of, while his tagline talks about how bigots are always losers. That strikes me as ironic. I have no quarrel with you, Devlin, but I think you should at least try to honor what you present as your motto. AFAIK none of the detractors in this thread are actually SA forum members, nor members of W-hat, and so they really don't have any way of seeing the full picture.

Now, I HAVE been on the inside. I know how the group works. W-hat was specifically founded to be a non-griefing group. There is a 20-meter-tall sign right in the middle of the HQ that outlines what W-hat members are not to do, and warns that any members caught doing those things will be ejected. Also, ask yourself this. How many W-hatters are going around, shooting people with watermelon guns, who aren't Dec. 04s? Noobs come into SL and do this stuff ALL THE TIME. Those who don't figure out what to do with themselves either get bored and leave, or get banned. Those who assimilate into the community are not the ones who are running around doing stuff like that.

OK. Excuses excuses. Boo-friggin-hoo. Was the group of folks doing thier "mime" protest aware that there has been friction, and some hateful acts, done to furries by SA Goons and others, both within SL and out? I'm pretty sure they did. I'm sure Ryen did.

So..do the people that got suspended truly think they were innocent of all wrong-doing? If so, then you are right in with the other 80% of the world population that don't take responsibility for thier own actions.

Was it just coincidence that it was a furry that got surrounded? Don't think so.

Guess what. Be kind to others and don't purposefully make them feel bad or uncomfortable, and the chances of you getting suspended or banned would greatly decrease. Jesus. You still in kindergarden or something? You should all know this.

Until you've been raped by a bunny I see no reason why anyone should be so viciously opposed to Furries of any nature. And I think your entire post is moot because you preach a kind of tolerance and understanding for the Goons while it's clear you have no desire whatsoever--like all other Goons who have spoken thus far--to express any kind of tolerance or understanding for Furries who do things that are "distasteful" to you.

When you just happened to be at the event, and just happened to snap the picture of the 'furry' flaunting his big red cock to the idle Linden, did you also just happen to not notice it was a fellow goon, and not a furry at all?

My guess is you knew very well, and this was your childish way to try and get the furries in trouble with daddy for something you actually did.

Now, ask again why and how people seem to be getting this bad impression of the goons. Could it possibly be because of your actions? Nahhhhh.

I don't know any furries or goons that I'm aware of. Nor do I particularly give a crap about either group, cuz it just ain't my thing. All I know of your group is what your group members have chosen to come into this forum and show me. That you're whiney. You think the internet is taken too seriously, until you get banned, then it's a matter worth protesting. You have some kind of grudge against furries because some of them have sexual kinks that you don't approve of. You're more than willing to try to 'frame' a furry for something to make them look bad. That you don't feel you should have to suffer consequences for your actions because it's not your fault not everyone shares your bullyish sense of humor.

Granted, I'm sure this does not represent all goons... Just most of you that have decided to speak here for your group.
