I don't really find it offensive. What I would find offensive if I were the people who built it is Billy saying they are both Anti-US and Pro Terrorism. What a narrow minded little person he would have to be if he really thought that. Although like most of what Billy does, I'm sure it was only for dramatic effect.

The towers in Baku are a monument to all the retarded jingoism that followed 9/11. In case anyone doesn't remember, for a period of about three or four months after the towers went down, the streets of the USA were inundated with an endless stream of gaudy plastic American flags, often flying from the antennae of cars that hadn't been washed since the Clinton administration. The towers aren't there to insult anyone. They are there to satirize the sort of person who never would have thought to go within 5 miles of a flag factory on 9/10/01, but then became SUDDENLY AND VERY OBVIOUSLY PATRIOTIC on 9/11/01.

Ever wonder why no one flies Old Glory from their car antenna anymore? I sure don't.

Agree entirely. Satire is vital. Nationalism sucks massively.

No offense, but I disagree. Satire by its nature offends many people, who then often overreact. If it doesn't, it's failed.

And while I'm not sure the builders did this intentionally, the idea of a Viking ship crashed into the towers is interesting. In their day, Vikings were the greatest terrorists in Europe. Before they became Scandinavians, Russians, and kings and queens of France and Britain.

Seriously - get over yourselves. I find it disgusting that 9/11 is used to rationalize everything that is done in the US today. "NEVER FORGET", of course we won't. No one will grant us a moment to make peace with it. America is becoming more and more disgustingly self-righteous these days. Being up in arms about this is the same as if I were to get up in arms about the phrase 'beaten like a red-headed stepchild'. I am a redhead, and plenty of my gingerhaired commrades have been assaulted, so it is my responsibility, NAY DUTY! to launch an offensive on anyone who dares slight us by using that phrase.

WHAT THE FUCK is the only way i know how to say this. Right now i am feeling some emotions that i have felt once before, rage sadness and total sickness. Just a few min ago I was told that there was something that someone had on there land and they wanted me to come see if i saw the same thing in it as them. So i accepted the tp.
