WHAT THE FUCK is the only way i know how to say this. Right now i am feeling some emotions that i have felt once before, rage sadness and total sickness. Just a few min ago I was told that there was something that someone had on there land and they wanted me to come see if i saw the same thing in it as them. So i accepted the tp. Look at the pictures, thats all i can say. put your mouse over the towers and it says we will never forget 9/11 but then again they have fucking flaming busses hanging out the side of them and fameing boats and exploses that randomly go off on the other tower. I dont think this is appropriate and i understand someone is entitled to show there views and such but why do it when it hurts so many people? have some manors and act like you actually care about people. Also see the green guy? does that look like what i personally think it is? or am i reading to much into it which i might be. Im enragaged someone would do this. They have all been neg rated and if you would like to do so also please im me in world.

There was a thread raging here in the forums just a few days ago about their builds. When I first visited that area, it was a Starship Enterprise attacking the Twin Towers. It's one thing to make ugly builds. Building something like that shows no tact, no respect and very little care for your fellow human beings. It is the ONLY build in all of Second Life I've ever neg-rated.

I think Linden labs should put it on the front page with the other newbie attracting pictures that way people know what there really getting.

The towers in Baku are a monument to all the retarded jingoism that followed 9/11. In case anyone doesn't remember, for a period of about three or four months after the towers went down, the streets of the USA were inundated with an endless stream of gaudy plastic American flags, often flying from the antennae of cars that hadn't been washed since the Clinton administration. The towers aren't there to insult anyone. They are there to satirize the sort of person who never would have thought to go within 5 miles of a flag factory on 9/10/01, but then became SUDDENLY AND VERY OBVIOUSLY PATRIOTIC on 9/11/01.

Even if it wasnt "disguised" as a cactus, it would not be a swastika.

Not even the swastika was a hate symbol until the Nazi Party corrupted it for their own use. Prior to that, it was a symbol of life. Strange how everyone forgets that. I seem to remember the Nazis swapped the direction of the legs or something, but I'm not 100% sure.

Anyway, not sure what to make of the build. Satire it may be, but if enough people are finding it offensive, then as satire, it's failed. And as for the cactaur, Kats Kothari (I think) has been selling them for a while.

Should we take away the freedom of speech from this person?
Should there be an LL-ethics police set up? Who could censor builds, and take down any build that offends at least 1 person? Or 10?

Maybe even the SL system could be modified so nothing you build can be seen by others, until the censor approves it?

Well, I have a different view. We won't put up a warning panel. Do you know why? Because it's reasonable to expect that people actually GRASP that other people have different tastes, a different humor, different views. Whether people fall into these expectations or not, is a different matter.

Sounds reasonable to me ; even without talking to the builder (I'd neg-rate his behavior rather than build skill personally ; if I felt like Billy, which is not the case)
