As far as this thing goes, as long as children aren't allowed to play in our grid, I'm fine. "There" turned out to be a disaster when it came to allowing teenagers to play with adults. You never knew who you were talking to or what would take place from day to day. Some of my friends ended up conversing with SEVEN year olds. Take a moment to ponder on what that would be like.
There was definitely much drama due to the maturity level of the players. One incident in particular that I'll never forget in "There" was walking around in the meeting place named Karuna, and having a child walk up to me and commence to tell me in voice chat "Hi, I'm nine years old, and you're a whore!"  _____________________

I think it's a bad idea. A REALLY bad idea on so many levels. From taking time and support away from a community that already exists to provide for a separate grid that can't possibly be controlled the way it needs to be controlled, it's a bad idea. We already have more than enough problems. But on the same note as Surreal, it doesn't matter. Money changes everything.
It seems like we're all LindenGod's little digital experiment all of the sudden....  |
