Obviously, your government isn't interested in contrarian opinions. A good start to a democracy if I ever saw one.. BTW, you have obviously missed my point completely. I'm all for what you're doing. I think I posted that about 7 times. Some examples: This is becoming more and more necessary. (In reference to why your government would be useful..) Dispute resolution. There was an article in Wired and I believe it was one of SecondLife's largest points of participation at the State of Play conference. While your voluntary scheme is great, Hiro, it has been proven time and time again that such things break down at certain levels of population and are not scaleable. I am particularly glad that he posted in this forum. The content is interesting, thought provoking, and adds a fascinating layer of depth and complexity to SL. I think that is a truly great idea. I think player run governments are absolutely the right solution. But participation in those governments should be done on a completely voluntary basis and any involvement by Linden's in any particular scheme is dangerously drifting away from the philosophy of a completely voluntary basis. Well, Talen, I have no problem with what you are doing In reference to Kendra's description of what you are doing.. sounds exciting. _____________________

If it helps any, all I'm trying to point out is that Linden involvement in government schemes is a bad idea, as has been proven time and time againt by a multitude of cautionary tales that have been told. Ulrika's government sounds really cool. I wish her all the best and I'm excited to see the end result .. which will probably be disastrous if the Lindens are involved. _____________________
