Ok Cris. I don't get this. I was serious. I don't know Shadow very well but like him well enough. What is wrong with that? I'd like to know your perspective because I meant it to be a positive statement. It is the fact that you qualified it with "well enough" instead of just saying I like you. I like you well enough is not really a compliment. Well enough to what? _____________________

It is the fact that you qualified it with "well enough" instead of just saying I like you. I like you well enough is not really a compliment. Well enough to what? I just don't know him very well is all that was meant to convey... as in well enough for how much I know him… I concede that maybe I could have chosen the words more carefully as it was not meant to be a negative statement. It sounded like an accusation and attack as to what you believe this could lead to. I.E. attacking her govt. If I misread what you thoughts were I apologize. Please clarify your thoughts. Thanks. Acutally Billy the context of what you read was short sited as you failed to add the follow on comentary as the whole context of the subject. For example. My statement was. If this is the case I need to start my AG Party now and actively defend my space of SL against corruption of a power mad government(whether its yours and Ulrika's or anyone elese's) that seeks to take my rights away from me. The sub context of the statment where I itterated the word Whether...to convey meaning to the subject of if the government falls into that catagory. Again "If" being the primary relevance to the subject at hand. (whether its yours and Ulrika's or anyone elese's) Now had I left that bracketed text out and simply said. If this is the case I need to start my AG Party now and actively defend my space of SL against corruption of a power mad government that seeks to take my rights away from me. Then yes I would agree that the context would seem conflicting however it was not left out the entire context was meant as stated and continues to stand as far as I am concerend.  ) and this is their way to sponsor more excitement, drama and soapopera stuff into SL...I don't care even if Ulirika or whoever becomes the queen of SL, this is not real life, we have this nice 'Quit' button to push if things get annoying. Beware of huge game-egos, they mostly aint cooking nothing in real life.  _____________________

....So with that said I would like for either Phillip or Robin to speak up in reference to this experiment because a lot of people are getting it misconstrued and are blowing things out of porportion. To my knowledge at this point this is what I know. The lindens are assisting Ulrika by offering them land in which to set up their community as an experiment in governmental system. To my knowledge any body seeking to create their own autonomous government has the same opportunity. Ulrika's Government is to be kept within the confines of that demographic sim and its followers are subject to it's rules while engaging in activities in "THAT" sim alone. The questions I would like answered is if Ulrika's "Experiment" seems to work will this be forced on the rest of SL and if so what is the time frame for the conclusion of the experiment. Also when what would the time frame for a decision to implement it into main stream SL if this is LL backing and goals. In one stance I am all for Ulrika getting her little govermental power trip play ground. On the other though it frightens me that if Linden Lab is supporting this to have it eventually flood into SL main stream we are in danger of loosing what some of us love so dearly. Anyway thats simply my .02$ Sincerely, Shadow Weaver Linden offered land to any group that was willing to build in a way that would preserve the snow theme. Ulrika Zugzwang's group was the only applicant that was willing to put together enough land allocation contribution to pay the land tier. As long as the buildings stay in theme and the members break no rules, then they are free to behave in any way they want. It was not our intent to experiment in government but we have no trouble with it. |
