Linden Sponsoring Ulrika Zugzwang's Government is a disastrous idea

Probably because we all view our own posts and ideas without hypocrisy sensors, myself included. I initially had quite the go round with Kendra where she called me a racist and a woman hater, so yeah, she can be a bit, um, hasty. I still love her though, she kicks some serious ass. In the case of this thread, I agree with her completely. The original post was completely incendiary and had no basis in the reality of the situation. I recognize government and politics are polarizing topics, but my lord. Even if they form the Lesbian Communist Party in Neualtenberg with the full blessing of the Lindens, ultimately it has no bearing on what goes on in any other sim, so why is there so much uproar about it?

The better, more topical quote would be:

'This isn't life, it's just stuff. And it's become more important to you than living. Well, honey, that's just nuts.'

Just so you all know this is against George W. Bush's new mandate. Should this state ever come to existance, I would expect the US to invade it (either virtually or non-virtually) under the pretense of looking for WMLs (Weapons of Mass Lesbionism).

#1 No one is attacking your government persey. However your statement that you dont plan on a SL wide government reeks disention in the ranks of your organization as Ulrika if I am not mistaken does eventually plan on this becomming a world wide thing.

Hence my request for Phil or Robin to Clarify things as I never take the word of the oganization proclaiming support or non support of a function.

Why because its too ambigious and Id rather have information from the "TRUE" ruling party the one that can cut your ass off at the ISP. Now those people I pay attention too. Anyone else is blowing smoke out their ass unless they have rattified documentation supporting their aruguments. Otherwise its speculation.

Let me Give you an example of what I mean....

and many more follow suit in that organizational structure all rattified by Linden Lab as being supported in one way or another Publicly.

So, please be cautious in your desention against people. I merely seek information that is legitimate and rattified. Otherwise its all conjecture and hearsay. I will continue to always be a proponent against any and I do mean ANY player run government. Because if you think Dwell and L$ to US$ are being gamed wait til a player run government is ever in place.

In the context of bureaucracy it is a useless entity that humanity has to put up with.
Bureacucracy has created half the worlds money problems and 80% of the worlds health problems.
Bureacuracy has lead to insurance companys feeding off the poor and the "Working for the company store" mentality.
The ills of Bureacuracy far outweigh the benifits. Hence why I dont understand why anyone would belittle themselves to be subjugated to a Player Run Government when they don't have to.
Bureacuracy typicaly leads to redunancy which in turn leads to power hungry mongers attempting to climb the Bureacratic ladder which in turn leads to injustice within a system that claims its just. ((end Personal Opinion))

So in closing this please tell me in a system where there are no methods of Justice and no methods of Governmental punishment for crimes commited what is the benifit to others than to stagnate growth.

This is not jumping to conclusions this is fact and if you want to know more the Library of Congress has many online publications of methods of government. Go there and do some homework. You will see that 9 times out of 10, Governments that have failed in the past have failed due to extreme corruption.

Final statement I have a legitimate concern as the words that have been spoken thus far lead to conclusions that this is initially an experiment but could lead to world wide consumption. If this is the case I need to start my AG Party now and actively defend my space of SL against corruption of a power mad government(whether its yours and Ulrika's or anyone elese's) that seeks to take my rights away from me.

I pay for the ability to exist in a virtual space, socialise and build. I don't pay to be ruled by someone that isn't me, or Linden - the provider of the service with whom I have a clear agreement. I don't need anything that a virtual SL government can offer me.

That said, if folk wish to band together and be ruled, have elections and play governments to learn more about the way this can work - good luck to them. Each to their own. Just so long as I can remain independent and free thinking, then whatever anyone else does with their SecondLife is entirely their choice.

Ok… maybe I misread it but this was my thought Shadow. You say that you are not attacking Ulrika’s government but then say that you will need to defend yourself against “corruption of a power mad government”.
