I don't believe in compensation because what is it going to solve? You can't take away the pain from people that suffered from the past with money!

We are still in the process of evolving as humans and either we will evolve into our complete equal state of mind or we will all blow ourselves up trying because it will drive us batty because in nature, we're all unique.

AS human beings, we should not have to suffer discrimination to the point to where there is nowhere to go. Right now even though there are people that still suffer with discrimination, all people of all colors, if that door closes you go to another door and that door opens. I had to deal with that. One door opened and out came a pig squeaking and closes the door and just when I thought it was hopeless I go to another door that opens and they aren't like that pig. Just in case you are wondering, pig in my mind isn't just for men either. Women can be pigs, men can be pigs.

You would still be born a male, now choose what race? I can't tell you your stats without your race as well and if anyone uses that against you to scream racist because that is the trend I'm sure you are tired of, I'll just down their throat. This is a game. Play it because you like it and you want to.

How is that emotional? Women have different plumbing than men. We have periods. We have the ability to get pregnant. Men don't get periods nor can they get pregnant. I don't really see any emotional argument here. The emotional argument comes in by calling this proposal "Roe v. Wade for men" and it's about child support - not abortion.

There is such a thing as insane logic, you know. And "equal rights means right to an abortion = right to duck child support" is truly a classic example of it.

I should also point out that emotional does not equate with illogical.

Abortion and child support are related but different issues. Equating them is the insane logic here.

the base responsibility is the issue.

A woman can have an optional abortion. Without the fathers agreement. Or keep it. Again without agreement. A woman can do this and not have the responsibility of a child.

But a man who fathers a child (remember though, it takes 2) has to support this child. No choice.

Perhaps less an 'equal rights' issue and more an 'equal accountability/responsibility' issue.

Where'd the baby go?

If the woman has an abortion - the man pays no child support.

If the baby is adopted - the man pays no child support.

If the woman decides to raise the baby on her own - the man gets to pay her off in exchange for not having to bother with the child.
