Why should I have to repeat myself?

Oh, we should also outlaw alcohol, drugs, cars, motorcycles, boats, airplanes, guns, baseball bats, knives... they all contribute to death.

Leave my alcohol, motorcycles and guns out of this !!

The way to opt out of responsibility for a child is to not get someone pregnant.

I agree with this product and/or statement.

So death of innocents is limited to unborn babies? I see. Thanks for making that clear.

Its about rights. Mens rights are violated when they don't get a choice..just a demand for child support. Or the feeling of betrayl from soemone aborting their child.

If my fiance got pregnant by me and had an abortion wihtout consulting me..I would leave her. Simple as that.

The fact you were born a woman with a womb does not change the facts. It isn't about money..you want total contorll of your body? fine. You want to abort without the faters agreement? go head. Want to keep it thout the agreement? Support it yourself.

So if your fiance consulted you would you suggest to her to keep the child and that you would be supportive or abort?

Men do have their say when consulted and there are alot of cases of women going through the abortion when it come to the men bringing up the money issue (number one reason for going through with it). In the end it was the females choice and her body but she is the one who is stuck with the grieving of eliminating the fetus in that case.

I feel sorry for the children more than the adults. The courts try to view the case as what is best for the child so that is why it is the way it is still but men if you feel like you are being treated unfairly, fight for it. You will win but with every case of change, there is a negative impact. The negative impact will be on the children. People wonder why children now are so f*cked up. Oh could it be because of how selfish adults are and constantly involved in some war and painting someone else as their enemies?

Fathers leave behind their kids, mothers do too, fathers molesting their little boys and girls, mothers killing their babies and putting them in dumpsters even though there are other ways so maybe no matter how many new laws that are put in for our rights and new laws inserted to protect children from being thrown away in the dumpster, people are people and will just continue to be cruel.

Not that I'm trying to put this thread back on the rails or anything...

But consider, if this subject (men getting out of paying child support) had come up without such a completely ASININE title as "Roe v Wade for Men", would you really think child support and abortion had much of anything to do with one another? They are two different subjects of justice, or injustice as the case may be.

The law as it currently exists isn't about "equal rights" at all. It's about protecting the rest of society from the effects of idiots who get themselves into these situations.

I totally agree with everything you said. It was at best a lame attempt at fanning the flames around the troll fires. Sadly, it worked stupendously.

Don't worry, you're not in danger of putting the thread back on the rails with your skewed view of the topic at hand.

We're not talking about fathers being able to opt-out of child support after the child is born unless the father wasn't informed during pregnancy. And this is only if abortion continues to remain legal.

And you're right-the law isn't about equal rights. But don't you think it should be? I mean isn't equality between the sexes what we're all struggling for? or is it only equality when it benefits you?

We're not talking about fathers suddenly opting out of paying child support for their 6 yo child here as much as you're trying to skew the topic that way. But it's understandable that you and the rest of the SLefties would use this tactic since you don't have a leg to stand on if you tackle the topic head on.

6. The pro-abortionists keep chanting "if you don't have a womb, STFU", yet Kendra keeps talking.

Reminding a woman who was born intersexed that she has no womb is just cold.
I was born neither wholly male or female.

As it happens I was born with ovo-testes and a vestigial and completely useless uterus.
From birth to six I was almost constantly involved with one surgery or another, with monthly visits to the endocrinologist till I was 13.

Though even at the youngest age I expressed the desire to live as a girl, I was force socialized male and given testosterone shots. All ignoring my desires to simply grow up as a woman with my twin sister.

I would have loved to have kids, I'd have loved to be able to adopt. But as intersexuality isn't officially recognized in this country I'm considered a transsexual.

Wanna know why I'm so passionate about a woman's right to her own fucking body? It's because my right was ignored from the moment I was born.

So --STFU.

This is like those 'must give blacks extra rights because their ancestors were slaves.'

No, we don't. I didn't oppress women. I didn't keep slaves.

Noone gets extra rights above another gender or race..

By the way.. where is a history month or week for caucasian males? Racism!

Doctors and Parents. But if you're attempting some sort of logical fallacy argument of your's that my condition was similar to one of your feted fetii you're off the mark. I was BORN, viable and my condition wouldn't have killed me.

No! You STFU! :p

But seriously, while I think your parents were trying to do the right thing, what happened to you was wrong. I don't see how this keeps you from adopting, however.

And it doesn't change my position on abortion, or the validity of men's opinions on this topic.

It's all a false argument as the choice given is not the correct choice.

Why can't I adopt? Have you ever tried to adopt a child as a single "transsexual" parent?

Maybe my parents were trying to do the right thing, maybe the Doctor's were as well. It doesn't matter much to me, as the choice forever altered my life beyond my control until I reached adulthood.

The Chinese and the Russians don't care! What about a surrogate? If you really wanted one, you'd have one.

Oh....and if I could, I'd have a baby, too. Maybe one day...they're working on it. I've given serious thought to the surrogate approach in the meantime.

I wasn't going there, but since you bring it up..... your parents might have "choose" to end your rights before birth, after seeing a problem on a sonogram, under current law.

No one would fault them for it.

*takes a step to the right*

And with that, Kevn pole vaults over the line. Waaaaaaay over the line. Thank you, thank you, Kevn so much for completely damaging the credibility of the people trying to fight this battle on legal, ethical, and moral grounds.

Your first sentence made a very good point, then you had to go and ruin the whole thing with that disgusting final comment.

The whole point is that all abortions are wrong except when medically necessary. That includes Kendra.

Kendra..some of my coworkers wonder why I support laws that would keep parents from advocating surgery for intersexed children until the age of 16.. they need to know if the child is going to be comfortable as born, or tend towards more masculine or feminine.

I wish this type of law had existed previously..then situations like yours wouldn't have happened and you would have had a much easier life.
