The egg. Before it was chicken, something else laid the egg that produced the first chicken. Ulrika has a thread somewhere on Evolution 101. So the fisrt chick was a mutation of some species of link between chicken and dinosaur. This bird-like beastie probable resembled a chicken, but was not quite there. It laid an egg, and its mutant baby was a chicken. The real question is was it free range chicken?

The real question is does this egg count as the first chicken egg, or was it the egg of the species that mutated into the chicken and the first chicken egg was laid by the first mutated thing/chicken thus making it the chicken that came first.

That and at what point did the mutation become chicken as it was probably a slow evolution first loosing teeth and developing a beak, then scales becoming feathers, and then forearms becoming wings.

1. In my case a chicken egged is defined as such because it gives birth to a chicken. Yes the first chicken egg was not laid by what is technically a chicken, but what is techinically a chicken came from an egg, and thus the egg was first.

2. it became a chciken at the point it made an evoloutionary divergence from the proto-chicken that brought it into conformity with the speices we now regard as the modern chicken.

The real question is Origianl Recipie or Extra-crispy?

Dear Jake,

while admiring myself in a mirror from a foot away, do I see me as other people see me from a foot away, or as the they do from two?

Thank you for your time.

Jake,

Why am I in such a pissy mood?

GL

Because you are a sane and reasonable person observing the naked commerciality of these artificial holidays with false promises of good cheer, and you look for and ounce of empirical evidence in support of a scintila of integrity int he modern world. Being sane, reasonable and practical, you conclude this does not exist, and thus the only reasonble reaction is to be in a pissy mood.

to look on the brightside requires a leap of faith, and the courage to carry the latern of truth to the dimmest corners. To be an optimist is to piss in the wind of reason. Yet to be in a good mood is also as simple as to consider all of life, good and bad, then consider the alternative.

Ultimately, despite our moods, we live our lives in hope: we pray that each day we wake up will be better than the last, no matter how good or bad that last one was.

Thank you for your time.

You never see yourself as other people do, you don't even see yourself as you think you do. The hardest task to set before yourself is to stand in a mirror and see who you are.
As the man said, the fisrt step to knowing who you are is to get rid of the notion that the self is a litttle man residing inside your head that makes your body go.

Two feet away. It's the same reason there are mirrors reflecting the letter board back and forth across the room in an optomitrist's office. the 20 in 20/20 refers to 20 feet and since the room isn't 20 feet long, by bouncing it down the length of the room once or twice, you see it as if from 20 feet.

Rickard, your answer is interesting, and is one version of correct. However, this forum is ask Jake Anything. Therefore people what my answers. In the past other shave started thier own forums for such things.

However, I am generous and I will allow you to answer or comment as you like, just so long as each post contains a question for me.

Accordingly you will be spanked again by Felicity.

Because you get paid to do it. If it weren't boring you would pay them and it would be called second life.

For the position of beta-tester for the second life platform, you do not get paid, ou pay and help iron out the kinks until the platform can be perfected.
