Fun for those who like to make fun of others, he means.
Fun if you believe in karma, I mean.

:)

p.s. to cocoa -- I feel sorry for you when reality finally hits.

Now the real circle is complete. Welcome back, Cienna! :)

Oh, and nice deflection, Cris - but I think the lyrics from the Dylan/Cash song describe the relationship you and others here have with the Big Beach Nut:

Love is a burning thing,
can change into a fiery ring.
Bound for wild desire
I fell into a ring of fire.

I fell into a burning ring of fire.
I went down down down
and the flames went higher.
And it burns burns burns,
that ring of fire,
that ring of fire.

They say that love is sweet
when hearts like ours meet.
I fell for you like a child.

Oh but the fire went wild....

Get a stadium, for chrissakes.

There will be different people, April, and more of them as time goes on.

Remember, they are limited to how many people actually APPLY. Eighty thousand people (even if we actually had that many distinct people in SL) are not going to apply to a build contest. Probably far fewer than we might think actually apply for these opportunities. Even those who are interested and capable often won't have the time.

Even fewer are going to offer themselves up for a magazine interview. As time goes on, we will see more variety. We have ALREADY seen more variety than we would have otherwise.

Would you prefer no variety?

It is not necessary that certain people are chosen for whatever, or that no person is ever chosen twice for whatever. It is important only that everyone have equal advance notice and fair opportunity to submit themselves to the selection process. LL (as well as the magazines, etc.) still have the right to select who they want.

Others were campaigning for this besides me. Speaking for myself, of course I was campaigning to be included. That's why I'm happy I had a chance to be considered for inclusion!

But this was never a campaign to "just include Coco please, kthnxbai." It was always a campaign to make all these opportunities open to everyone. (Which, of course, all of you know perfectly well.)

And that what we have now.

This sort of expectation is hardly unique in human history. It is therefore a ridiculous stretch to try to turn my imminently reasonable desire for equal opportunity for all residents into a personal flaw (particularly considering the Lindens apparently want the same thing), and reflects very poorly on those of you (not April) who grasp any opportunity to express more hatred.

Karma's gonna getcha, guys. And Karma's a bitch.

coco

But Coco, there was no variety. Anshe has been in countless. Just the addition of one new people doesn't some how make this right. Please don't stop your fight. Don't let them buy you off with this article. Don't coo over it when it is wrong.

The most successful software company in the world does a piss-poor job on all these points. Particularly the first three. Why do you expect Linden Labs to do any better?
Yes, it's true, I have a blog now!
