If you had a grievance prehaps an IM would have gotten a better result. You get more flies with honey than intentional griefing, personal attacks, and continous stream of TOS violations..

I also find it strange someone would move into a busy sim, knowing its a busy sim. Then start griefing the guy who has been there longer and who owns 10x the land as you because you have an intolerant view of camping chairs.

I'm not really going to debate this issue in a thread with a blatent TOS violation against me though..

I sent you three IMs prior to this "griefing," and you didn't reply. You claim they're "lost," but whatever. Not an hour after I put the sign up did I get a response so clearly, in this case, honey wasn't effective at all, but what I did was. Incidentally the only ToS violation (I guess) was posting your name in here earlier, but I deleted that. Otherwise I didn't break any other rules. You allowed building on your land and had autoreturn set off, and as soon as the objects were returned I didn't try to put them back on your land.

Incidentally if I had broken any rules I've no doubt the Lindens would've been quick to say something, as they move in droves to defend those who make SL a shitty place to be. But nobody even talked to me, I deleted your name out of my own good will.

You own about double the land I have. I have roughly 1500, you have 2500. Your entire parcel together doesn't even achieve 1/8 of the sim. And even if it did, that doesn't entitle you to anything more than what I deserve. I moved into the sim because it happened to be right next to the store of a friend of mine and I was told the rental group was well managed. It wasn't until after I moved in that I saw the detrimental affect your casino had on the area. But you'd like everyone to think that casinos add to the land value of a sim. RIGHT! And again, you weren't griefed and there's no ToS violation here. Get over it and don't take it personally.

I own over 10,000m in the sim. A linden came and removed your cohert's signs because they were half in an adjacent lot so they couldn't be autoreturned..

Wasn't my cohert, the signs are copy and full perm'd. He must've been inspired. And the Linden didn't remove the signs I have sitting out still at this moment on an adjacent lot right in front of your entrance, or on the plot that someone else decided to devote to this either. So I guess I was right.

And so what if you do own 10,000m? Second Life doesn't seem to be aware of it but I'll take your word for it. Either way, I should be bullied into dealing with a laggy sim where customers can't TP in because you want to put up camping chairs? I contacted the other residents of the sim who you also have banned from your land and they also don't want you there and they also said they've gotten IMs from people trying to get to THEIR stores and they can't because the sim's full with your selfish camping devices. it's pathetic you can't be bothered to care about the needs of others.

That's not true, I monitor the sim daily and make certian that never happens. You are making stuff up or taking a 1 in 1,000,000 occurance and making it look like an on-going thing.. You've never been attacked at all, and you decided to come and participate directly so now there's no concern as to your identity.

It's not a rare occurance, it's happened twice in my experience in the 5 days I've owned the parcel and it's happened to other people as well. I had an event yesterday and I couldn't bring anyone in because YOUR parcel was full of AFK people.

Away, busy, or not, IMs don't vanish. I tried you three times, I received no replies. I don't need to wait around any longer than that. As even now I've tried to level with you to create a compromise you've been a jerk, my interest in discussing this with you is gone.

If you want privacy, move to the suburbs, not Time Square.. You bought/rented that land knowing it was a busy sim and it takes you only 5 days to start a griefing campaign.. Nice..

I own a lot from you across the street. I've been there for a while, and I noticed the lag too. I won't get into this, well, because we've already IMed you. You said you'd make a compromise and see what happens from there. That works for me, plus arguing the forums won't get us anywhere.

Guido, there's not a lot of sympathy towards camp-chair owners here; they tend to lag out a sim and make it impossible for people to have a decent SL there.

It doesn't really matter who was there first or who owns more land. If you're using disproportionate amounts of processor time for that sim, it's poor manners.

I wasn't aware I was denying it at any point at all? I mean, my signature says "NEW STORE IN DOSOJIN!" and I just put up posts about the new store in the forums and on SL exchange and I just had a launch party. I wasn't aware that it was a state secret that I was new to the area.

The point is in 5 days I found out just how shitty you lag the server down. There's been no griefing campaign, though I'm flattered you feel I'm capable of masterminding such a cruscade. You're a very bad martyr.

Lots of places have camp cahirs that are not casinos. I own a nice casino in SL myself but I ban campers. I hada free money orb that I used to reward the gamblers with a little extra money, it was not much but it was the best I could do. However these damn campers would show up even with all of the "NO CAMPING" notices that I had everywhere so I was banning 2-3 a day. I finally had to take down the money orb today. So, anyway, thought you would like to hear from an actual casino that agrees with you... BAN CAMPERS = )

i dont understand this whole thing, why would anyone move into a sim that has any kind of bussiness? everyone knows they cause lag and to me thats just poor judgement, there are plenty of sims in SL that are made just for residence with little to no lag leave the bussiness sims to the bussiness people and move somewhere quiet wouldnt that be alot easier than trying to force someone to move or take up camp chairs? camp chairs have been around a long time and there is no rules about having them UNLESS the sim owner says they cant be there. i dont think he is going to shut his casino down/move it or take out the chairs just because a couple people dont like it , even though being a residence on a laggy sim would be annoying at the same time i wouldnt remove my chairs from my bussiness because someone else is having issues . now you all can bash me if you like i dont care just stating my own oppinion

The other land owners in question (around the casino) here are running shops, for the most part. 'Polite' shops, if you will, not 'attract as many people as you can to sit around afk clogging up the sims and damaging other business in the sim' casinos. =]
I don't agree that all casinos are bad. But I do think that casinos with nothing more than camping chairs and the odd amount of other items are a show of non-creativity, and it cleanly and efficiently showcases the builders' inability to come up with original content. Instead of doing something new and exciting in SL that everyone will enjoy, they were forced to lean back onto something that has been done a million times in SL already.
I am not directly addressing any one of you casino owners at all. I have indeed found many casinos and clubs that look interesting, because the creator mixed in a unique element to it. A level of creativity, really. Those are clubs that are entertaining, and even while they will clog up simulator resources, they are not doing it in such a way that the other landowners are getting nothing at all out of it except troubles. Popular clubs that are actually fun and not there for simply camping can attract traffic for the other businesses as well.
So please, Guido, let me tell you right now so your hopes and dreams don't get shattered in the future, when they might matter: You are nothing amazing, and you are nothing special, so please don't act like you can treat others however you please. Your actions are rude, and your method of ignoring those who are willing to help you turn your casino into a potentially likeable place by other people (other than those who want a measly .. what .. L$3 every 17 minutes or something?) are just plain broadcasting a message to other people that you belive your opinions are greater than theirs and your rights to the simulator go above and beyond that of the other land owners. Simply because you own a large amount of land does not mean you instantly have the right to lag down the simulator. You hurt other peoples' businesses. But I can imagine you chuckling at this post when or if you read it, thinking to yourself you simply don't care. That's okay. But don't expect us to care about your problems either, and don't expect us to pay any attention to your requests, and definitely don't expect us to not speak up when you start slowing down the simulator.
That is all I have to say.

It's a commercial area, not residential. I moved my store into that area because it was near a store belonging to my friend and as we sell similar-themed products we thought the combination would be conductive for business to us both. Camp chairs haven't been around that long but either way, this isn't an aesthetic issue. If it were I wouldn't gripe. AFK avatars degrades the entire sim massively and it's unfair.

first off let me say i am not a camper it is just boring to me, but they do not degrade anything cut them some slack already it isnt their fault that people give them camp chairs to sit on some of these " degrading as you put it" campers dont know how to do anything else to make money so let them be. you at one time were new as well and probably didnt know how to do anything . they are just trying to make money while some (not all) of them learn how to do things. if anything blame SL for cutting their beginning game money out , when i started and i dont know about you i was given 250L to start with made things a little easier for me to get started, alot of them dont have that and dont know how to make that yet. now yes there are a few campers that have been in the game long enough to know how to make money and i think camp chairs should be like money trees and be accessable to just SLers 30 days or younger but thats not going to happen. i own a club and rentals , i do not have camp chairs or pads in my club cause i know how it lags BUT i also checked everywhere to see how the lag is before placing my bussinesses and i also know that just because right now there isnt much lag that a store or a casino could come around and cause lag it is just how it is and there is nothing i can do to stop it . im just saying dont blame the campers they are doing nothing wrong dont hate on them cause they are taking advantage of free money. we all want free money i know i do
