for those that think it is complex to realise, even a 6 years old could achieve this bit of code!
i am sorry i rally dont see anything difficult into this!
PS: dont try that at home, really
CODE

default
{
changed(integer change)
{
if (change & CHANGED_INVENTORY)
llRezObject("Object",<0,0,2>,ZERO_VECTOR,ZERO_ROTATION,0)
}
object_rez(key id)
{
llGiveInventory(id,"Object");
}
}

Quite right! So, if I may extrapolate from your reasoning...

If a six year old could easily accomplish this then an ADULT could just as easily understand what it would do. And we do know that adults take responsibility for what they KNOW they are doing...don't we.

Oh come on! Are you seriously comparing racist griefers with homosexuals?

Let me just edit this, in case you really are of the mind-set where you can't see the difference. Homosexuals and furries are decent people who mind their own business, and are part of the community.

some people (not me) regard homosexuality as a crime against nature and an abomination in the eyes of God.

so yes, in that sense I think it a valid comparison. someone could be offended and demand the homosexuals be removed, but while they have every right to be offended, they have no right to remove people that offend them or their God

and as far as being part of the community, like it or not, W-Hat is part of the community. They are the redneck neighbors you wish you didn't have

From: Selador Cellardoor

The moron who caused this was someone who deliberately made his avatar into a racist stereotype, and spent all his time trying to upset and annoy other users.

I see a clear difference.

and for that the moron should be banned and prosecuted

but some of you are talking about "proactively" banning some 400 avis. that is my problem with your "logic"

Some people are offended by homosexuals, should the homosexuals be banned for griefing?

'Some people', huh? Isn't that something like "I have a 'friend' who...."

Anyway, how can you equate an act of griefing with someone's lifestyle? It's comparing apples and oranges, at best. Griefing might be offensive to some people and I'm sure there are some that find homosexuality offensive, but griefing is meant to ruin your experience in SL. I fail to see how one persons sexual orientation can 'ruin' another's SL experience.

Not me: I said that this griefer should have been proactively dealt with, which sparked off your original comment.

This is the original exchange.

Selador Cellardoor
If he had been banned at the time he was going round sl causing problems, this attack would never have happened. He was an obvious griefer, and should have been dealt with as one at a time when he was causing offence to individuals. Perhaps the Lindens could take this as a cue that they should be a little more proactive.

Mulch Ennui
I normally agree with you, but 100% disagree here

Some people are offended by homosexuals, should the homosexuals be banned for griefing?

err, everyone keeps sayin it was a newbie who didnt know what he was doing,

ok then how come he was part of 'somthing awful dot com' - a group that creates such peices of art as a statue deficating into anouthers mouth and a fetus factory, and called the balls that took the sim down 'greif balls' ??

they even tested a previous version of the greif balls according to their neighbours

btw on the day of the attack they recived anouther 'newbie' who somehow knew how to join the group and updated his av quite fast, and was at the after party at their headquaters.....

ok, just a guess..... ol? u already rejoined that fast?

oh and the socalled varification tests b4 joining- inc the credit card checks - i have access 2 5 differently named credit cards (mine, gfs,buisness etc) and same amount of addresses (the house im in now has 2), they can be passed easily..

why not include a clause about 'if, after a investigation, found to be responable for a serious attack against ll systems your credit card may be charged to cover rebuild and admin costs'

would u attack if there was a chance of your credit card being charged?

again i must point out only after a investigation

the idea he was a newbie is ridiculous, its total BS, completely 'manufactured' by a few people as a way of trying to minimize the overall impact

Gosh, I'm totally defeated.

Your sound logic proves that we should not be making fun of suspected felons who crash multi-million dollar computer networks. Bravo.

Oh, wait, no you didn't.
What you are really into is being liked, highly respected, and having people think you are quite clever. You seem willing to expend huge amounts of effort flailing at anyone whose actions don't line up perfectly with these goals - for example, the Hiroland thread. That was totally over the top. As a result of that and other incidents, there is a perception out there that you are entirely too shrill. We aren't dogs, you know. You don't have to be the "alpha" to get along in human society. If you really want more people to like you, try relaxing a little bit. It could go a long way.

I checked the Find Menu Groups last night, unless W-hat has hidden their group it looks like the Lindens have dis-banded it and probably banned everyone, the W-hat fan club is leaderless also which may be an indication that all the leadership of that group was banned.

No sorry W-hat is still around! Your fantastic theory is all a part of your imagination.

Hmm... condescention?

Not really. Is writing that difficult for you?

I'm sorry, you're taking your personal dislike of me and placing it in a completely wrong setting. Your argument assumes that the person I am debating on the forum needs only a slight disagreeance with "my goals" to bring me to "flailing". This implies that making fun of a griefer(s) that childlishly took down the grid is an overreaction, something trivial? And I'm the one who needs to loosen up?

From: someone
- for example, the Hiroland thread. That was totally over the top.

The reaction in that thread to me was overreaction, but I was quite civil. But that's irrelevant to the issue at hand, you've gone down the path of ad hominem.

From: someone
As a result of that and other incidents,

Translation: other threads where I have complained about griefers who just happened to come from W-Hat.

Gee, because apparently you are in a position to judge me or anyone else? Again, condescention. You're guilty of what you accuse me.

From: someone

(sarcasm) Yes, I'm sure I'll have to mend my uptight "funny image posting" ways.

Maybe next time I should just chuckle it off when the grid drops from a griefer.

DAMN! Soundly defeated again by logic!

Oh, no. Wait, that would be not.

...

Huns, seriously ... you should try relaxing a bit.

I think it's safe to say that this thread has outlived its arguable usefulness and as such is being closed.
