How the hell can all areas on sl be attacked simultaneously? Wouldn't it need more than one agent of destruction? This seems awfully strange to me. object can be triggered via e-mail from one spot |

object can be triggered via e-mail from one spot Can I work for LL? I want a job where I can make massive fatal oversights like not seeing the problem with this possibility and not get fired for it. |

we should just all add the guy to AIM and see how he likes hundreds of windows bothering him, just like hundreds of balls bothered us in SL Two wrongs totally make a right. Also, I'm rather disturbed by this whole lynch mob mentality. Let the people in power (the Lindens) figure out who deserves a banning. They have all the facts, they have the server logs, they hold ALL the cards. Past that, this whole thread is pretty pointless. |

I'll put all the members of that group in my land's ban list. Pass the word. teach these assholes a lessons, if they can't land anywhere but on their own toilet. A public flogging would be nice too... Great idea they are all on our sims ban lists too. Maybe a class action suit against him/group if all involved might be a good idea. I'm tired of this and maybe send out a loud and clear message to those who might consider such ideas. |

No seriusly, we're not claiming art or freedom of speach it was a genuine fuck-up by a new guy. New guy????? No way I went after him sometime ago with his little tricks. He then came to meetings I was in and tried to mess them up, didnt work. Where do you get off claiming he is a new guy and has no responsibilties? This is not his first time. I even filed a grief report on him and banned him from 10 sims. |

They have all the facts, they have the server logs, they hold ALL the cards. Past that, this whole thread is pretty pointless. I feel you miss the entire point. Someone who is know to have caused problems in the past keeps doing it and we as members of the community should not speak out? Somehow, something is not right here. We all should sit back, stay quiet and let someone like this do as they like and we should not respond? I for one thank each and every person who took the time to post how they feel about something so uncalled for. A mistake, a ban? As far as I am concerned I hope he is never back in world tossing chicken bones all over! Tell me do you belong to his group???? I must ck it out |

Burn the witches! In another post I tried to explain something, futily I am afaid, that those three words illustrate far more coherently than I could in several paragraphs. note to self: practice summarizing Kudos. _____________________

Hiro, I try my best not to get involved in the drama of the SL forums, but I think you are possibly my least favorite poster on the internet. It's a good thing there's such a thing as a forum, then, so people are free to state unpopular opinions, and neither I can ban you nor you can ban me. (translated to English): So? _____________________

Do idiots like this qualify for criminal prosecution? Seems to me like attacking and bringing down a system is illegal It is. In my country you get up to 6 years in jail for this kind of action along with a fine ranging up to half a million dollars. I'd love LL to file suit, depending on whether the investigation demonstrates it was a stupid mistake or a genuine attack the fine/jail time would vary greatly, the bottom line is that a company's commercial service was attacked and damaged by an idiot or group of idiots, which is wrong and deserves punishment. _____________________

(translated to English): So? I don't expect you to care, in fact I don't suppose you really have a very good idea of who I am at all. Your posts incite some kind of anger in me, though, probably because of this condescending way you carry yourself. You've got the nerve to call people "immature brats" and then turn around and post snarky image macros, throw around smarty-pants insults, and generally be the kind of internet jerk who would say things like: "I'm sorry, I can't quite hear you over the tiniest violin in the world playing music for the party(ies) responsible." Ohhh, very intellectual, very graceful. You even link to some "KNOW THINE LOGIC, HAHA I AM SMARTER THAN THOU ???" nonsense in your profile, as if you're some paragon of argumentative prudence. "Instead of attacking an assertion the author points to the relationship between the person making the assertion and the person's circumstances." Sound familiar? I've got nothing to gain or lose here; you just set me off like the holier-than-thou, self-impressed bad poster that you are. PS, I see you are also one of the many on these forums who make vague pointing gestures towards the American legal system, because clearly, the wisest response to unacceptable behavior on the internet is to get lawyers involved. |

PS, I see you are also one of the many on these forums who make vague pointing gestures towards the American legal system, because clearly, the wisest response to unacceptable behavior on the internet is to get lawyers involved. Why, yes, it is very wise. See, it will send a point accross to anyone else who would think they can crash a multi-million network service and get away with it, plus it'll bar the culprit from doing it again in the near-future (unless they provide unrestricted internet access in police offices, courtrooms and jails). So in the end it might SAVE LL money that they will not have to spend working early in the monring to bring the grid back online in further such attacks. So it might very well be a wise business move. _____________________

Gosh, I'm totally defeated. Your sound logic proves that we should not be making fun of suspected felons who crash multi-million dollar computer networks. Bravo. Oh, wait, no you didn't. _____________________
