From: Ralektra Breda I knew you would do well, you have a great niche product and your detail is amazing I would def do the affiliate vendor but get a good one (like hippovend) and make sure YOU control it when doing an associate vendor arrangement with someone what is a typical spit of the revenue between the person who is the owner of the vendors and the person renting shop space to put them in?

From: Ralektra Breda edit: Honey, because of all the different hues of green in the sweater, it's not something I can just 'color change' and put up in another color...BUT (I almost forgot this) it accepts in game tinting VERY nicely. I don't want to charge for another color because I tinted it in game (which costs me nothing for uploads and very little effort) but the sweater can easily be changed to a nice red or blue Ah, that being the case, I'll be over tonight Edit: Did you ever check on the tag issue for the show?

Some are as low as 10%, some are as high as 50%. Just depends on how much you're willing to go

It varies greatly as Honeybear pointed out. Some will even have different rates related to upfront costs, a free version will pay say 10% and a paid version will pay 50%. I'd advise trying the free one first in such circumstances.

A couple of days ago I wrote a post in another thread, stating that I don't do any marketing, other than ensuring that I'm well placed in search, and that's just because I don't want to. But I'm usually quite bored with SL and I need to get my teeth into something, so I've decided to do the reseller thing. So...
If anyone would like to sell some of my stuff (it's top quality low prim furniture) from vendors but with the real items on display as well, please let me know. The split will be 50/50, and you can choose what to sell.
I've created two vendors in the past:- a rezzing one where people click through a range of items and buy a copy of the item that's rezzed, and a simple 'buy from the sign' one where the item can be displayed with it. I'm thinking about combining the two types, so people can click through a range of items and buy the one that's rezzed but from the sign.

Hey does anyone remember the jeans tutorial Rhi posted a while ago???
Anyway my partner and I were trying to re ceate one of the steps in photoshop earlier and we got seriously stuck and i thought maybe one of you could help us.
I was wondering how one goes about bump mapping in photoshop using two layers?? Could someone give us a step by step idea on how to do this??? In gimp it is easy but she is determined to try it in photoshop

It was much easier in PSP actually (no bump mapping no little lines from some other site, I forget ).

http://mikegondek.com/creativetech/photoshop/18/psp18.htmTry that one Eclectic, i found it easy to do just a little wiggling to do jeans. But hey if you find a good way to do them, especally the belt loops , zip etc, please please please share, lol. I can do the texturing the wrinkles , shading, but those belt, fly etc stump me everytime.

I'm in the process of stocking the new "Cherry Park Freebie Center". You are all welcome to put an item in the center. Your item must contain your landmark, it must be in a square box no larger than .5x.5x.5, and it must be FREE...0L. Other than that, you are free to give any freebie you wish...clothing, shoes, furniture, whatever. It's my hope that this will increase business for ALL of us! Because I do keep the sim locked down as far as rezzing, contact me and I'll add you to my group. After you've placed your item, you're free to leave it. ETA: Oh...try to avoid hovertext, please

Rhianna, do you sell content on IMVU? If you do how does this work ? Because I couldn't figure it out. Option I have thought about is finding another world that my content might fit better in. I thought maybe my content I create is just in wrong world i.e SL. Seriously consider if I am serious about selling content perhaps I should look for another place that is newer and less saturated and more geared to cartoon like type world of avatars and content then SL. I checked it never joined, etc but I was curious about the content developing possibilities but I felt bit lost and never went further. Re-read some but the Deriving thing sounds really confusing, how do things in IMVU as far developing content seems even more confusing then SL.

Eclectic, i'm not sure if this would maybe help but have you ever heard of displacement maps. Now i don't know much about them myself but i did find a good couple of tutorials to help explain them a bit better. Could these be what your looking for? http://www.photoshopsupport.com/elements/tutorials/displace-filter/displacement-map.html http://www.dphotojournal.com/photoshop-tutorial-displacement-maps/ There are others out there aswell, these are just two i've used in the past. Hi FD, now i don't actually sell my own content on IMVU i have not purchased my own Avatar name which you need to do so you can become a developer. I can't tell you much about content creation with IMVU but i do know of a link in this forum that explains it in a little bit more detail /128/f3/276888/1.html If you go there and scroll down a little, Bliss Crimson explains it quite well. http://www.imvu.com/catalog/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpbb2&file=viewforum.php&f=32&topicdays=0&start=0 This link is to the IMVU texture developing section in there forums, it has quite a few tips and tricks for developers and if you decide to be a developer you can always ask people aswell on their to rate your things. Oh if you need any help with setting up in IMVU, my username is babygirl32344. Hope this helps and good luck
