can't say I have ever had the problem of too high up. Are you trying to right click the land to get details ? If so you can also click the land name at the top of the screen to access about land. I know it works for me at 700m

Click on the name of the land which appears at the top of your screen. That opens the About Land window no matter how high up you are.

I don't understand that. Right now I'm standing at 3000m in the sky and I have no problem accessing the About Land box.

I was late with my reply It hadn't occured to me that you were wanting to right click the ground.

the problem was my ignorance of the fact you can access it from the land title at the top of the screen, for the last year or so i was under the impression you could only access it by right clicking on the ground
my fault.

I gathered that from the other posts You can also access it from the World drop-down menu.

I didn't know you could access the land tab from anyplace but clicking on the ground either...until my Partner showed me. So you're not the only one

Oh dear, I just saw the post about the required update....me gulps. I have not updated in months and my poor old laptop already tells me it does not meet requirements. Hope this is not the last nail in my sl coffin. And now I have to sit at work all day worrying whether it will or wont work...happy days

Everyones spaces are looking great in the Biz mall, and already had a couple of nibbles from others wanting space, so please do let me know if any of you Biz Network members would like a vendor space (they are FREE for Biz members)

I have to say it has been great finally getting to meet all the avs behind the forum posts....and i now know to carry candy at all times when ceretain people are around

Thank you soooo much for the space Rhia!!! I have had more sales since putting up the space than I had had all week. It may be coincidence since most were in my mainstore and no one clicked the LM giver.... but as some ahve said in the past the prefer to look up the creators profile rther than take a Lm sooo who knows.

Either way i had sales both yesterday and today from the space so that in itself is very exciting

Sales for me, too, overnight and this morning. Thanks so much again for the space, Rhiannon! I had two people visit the mini-mall on our own land via the LM-giver at Primal Art, and further sales from that, too. That's me a happy bunny

Hey Rhia! I'm still using version 1.18.5.3 with the Nicholaz BE-w overlay and never get hassled about updates

So if all else fails, you can install that and still be in SL.

ETA: After reading Skell and E's posts I just checked my transactions history. Two sales for me from the new Primal Art location. Woot!!

There's unofficial speculation that Nicholaz and unpatched third-party viewers will allow you to log on, but that the Lindens have or will soon prevent them from processing uploads. (I mention this so that if you're using Nicholaz and your uploads suddenly stop working, you'll know not to waste time troubleshooting.)

Also, someone mentioned the Nicholaz viewer in the Mac user group chat last night. In response, one of the Lindens warned that the security situation is serious enough that you really need to avoid using unpatched viewers. He said this while trying to help someone who crashed every time she opened Search in the updated viewer.

just thought i would update that my sales have completely rebounded with two days of record sales again this past weekend. i do think SL stability and log ins etc have been effecting sales, so im glad to see others having more success as well! Congrats!

Thanks Miles. Going to hold onto my Nicholaz viewer as long as possible. IMO, if LL had hired Nicholaz in the first place, all these updates and patches wouldn't be necessary. I don't have any real knowledge of coding, etc. but I watch daily as other people who keep updating to the new SL viewers have all kinds of problems and my Nicholaz works beautifully.

I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out Gimp layers today to make a simple ad with various poses.

The way I'm feeling today, if LL blocks Nicholaz, I may just leave for awhile.

I certainly understand. My new computer isn't having problems with the latest viewer, but my older machine worked way better with Nicholaz.

I had a few slow days as well, my 24 hour freebie was today tho, so that turned it around a little. That happens a lot tho, I will have a some dry days then a few good ones, so it evens out.

As far as satellite business, keep in mind that even if you don't have a lot of sales, a lot of people are seeing your 'name' and product which will pay off in the long run, I think Think of satellites as advertising, just being there pays!

Did you ever spend like days and days working on something and there is one element you can NOT get the way you want it? Then suddenly you get another idea and it falls together in an hour? I have a dress I've been working on for days, I can't get the rear end right and in this case the rear end IS the dress lol...ah well, back to the drawing board
