I need your freebies!

I put this in resident answers so that people could respond and ever offer suggestions.

Do you have cool freebies to offer?? I need your QUALITY freebies! I've just done a massive expansion of freebie paradise and I'm looking for lots of new items to fill it up with.

What does offering a $0L (I don't do the $1L thing) do for you?? Quality well made items that are given out as freebies can provide amazing advertisement when packed well with a landmark and note card. Freebie Paradise gets a traffic rating of 14,000 to 20000 daily. It helps establish your name and get landmarks out and about. Trust me I know this well. If you take care of a new player, they will remember you later in there SL. Offering a freebie also helps out the community, and helps give a new player a good start. Players who have a satisfied start are more likely to stick around.

My freebie guidelines..

Yes I have rules for offering freebies. I have a theory that freebies at my place should be quality items, and not the typical "Well it's not good enough to sell so I'll just throw it at some newbs" type freebies. Look at the item. If it's not something that you would wear or use yourself, don't expect a newb to want to either. Plus what ever you hand out is often a persons first impression of your quality of work and items.

*Items given to me must have copy and transfer rights. Both the box they are in, and the items within the box. I redistribute them as no transfer unless otherwise specified. If you don't not feel comfortable giving me full rights, I can offer you a group invite and have you place the item yourself.

*No strictly advertisement items such as basic t-shirts with a club name on them.

*Items need boxed in boxes sized 2.5x2.5x0.2 with no floating text unless it's a mixed item box. Boxes filled with lots of random items should be anywhere around 1x1x1 and I just add them to the mixed boxes area.

*If items are not boxed I will make a box and texture and package them myself.

*Items must be set at $0L. I don't allow $1L freebies. I like items to be $100% free since most players start out with $0L now.

houses and furnishings
hair
accessories
naughty stuff

full avatars
furry stuff

mixed boxes

Basically anything and everything!

If anyone has anything to offer I'd appreciate it.

Does "girls clothes" mean female child avatar clothes? Or does it mean clothing for any/all females?

Is it ok if I texture the box with the items original texture (vendor texture) that has a price other than 0L on it, I know you are setting them to 0L? I guess you could retexture yourelf tho ....

I have made few things that are well made but they have small minor mistakes
can be modified so mistakes aren't noticeable.
The perfectionist in me says this outfit not worthy to be sold.
It has some slight fabric bits from where I forgot to erase tiny sections.
It could be shorten to look better.
I have numerous outfits and textures that look good but have tiny details
wrong with them.
Would something like this be suitable for as freebie?
If I donated to Sarah Nerd's Freebie place could the same items be put up as freebie somewhere else too?

Sara, I tried again- le tme know if i got it right this time- it can be confusing i guess

I sent you a folder Sarah but its going to be an aweful lot of work for you to make it no trans I think, the sofa sets contain animations that I do NOT want to have transfer rights on, I went into each poseball and set them trans and copy so you can set them out in your store. IF however you feel thats too time consuming, throw the folder away I gave you and toss me an invite to the group and I will be more than happy to come place these myself with all permissions set individually for the person buying them for 0L. I just do not want the animations I use ending up copiable and transferable in teh furniture I gave you, they are not freebies!!!

Can we have receipts? For tax purposes?

can you send me an invite, and I will plop something down soon (and with the invite to the group, that means I can switch out the free item from time to time, so as to not go "stale" and keep things fresh).

I just made a bunch of jewelry, I can put one of those as a freebie, I planned to anyway, so this is a good way to get it into circulation.

Sarah always gets the best stuff. I have a folder in my inventory titled Sarah Nerd's Uber Cool Freebies. You got me going when I first started in world a couple of years ago. Bestest stuff ever! ^_^
