It never ceases to amaze me how many hairstyles you women collect. I have two. The second was an unnecessary luxury as far as I'm concerned. I'm not complaining, btw. I like looking at you all. But still, all that hair! You haven't got but one skull!

Like I said - no complaints. You aren't expected to understand why we argue with each other about the infield fly rule or why we need a new high-flow exhaust system in the truck when there is a perfectly good muffler on there now, and we aren't expected to understand all those shoes and why you carry all that garbage around in your purse. It is what it is - just accept it.

Actually I keep a baseball rule book in my purse so I can explain the infield fly rule to guys I meet. I don't know why you have such difficulty with it.

I thought I would start with this for the people that posted before they got that far. For me that would be the straw that brakes the camels back.

I love to build, for me it's the most enjoyable part of SL. In order to build you need to have a place; unless you enjoy the unchecked griefing in sandboxes. Places cost Ls. I rent 2 lots. I have a nice 500 free prims to work with, not a chance of using too many. Ls cost $, so even though I am a free member I am spending $16 a month on rent.

When I first came to SL I went looking for things of my interest, so I searched goth; I'm not as much into goth as horror. Well I found a place I loved, felt very comfortable there and liked most of the people. I miss that place. Oh once and a while I manage to actually get there. And I don't get there near as often as I try to get there. I'd be there more IF SL WOULD LET ME.

I visit SL on my pumped up gateway, pent 2.4, 1 gig, nVidia, DSL. I run CCleaner a couple of times a week, Do the windows freeup once a week, check for spy where when I use Ccleaner, and clear all my caches on closing; even SLs. No it's not my comp causing the problem.

Now I know how I can get SL to work better for me, and am working on it. Try this one. Drop everything, yes everything. Empty your inventory. Now run around SL. stunning isn't it. Yes, quite a few SL performance problems are caused by excess inventory

Do you have Lag problems? I usually don't, I wonder why? Hmm lets see, I'm wearing a 2 prim belt, a 1 prim hat, 2 prim hair, and 4 prim sun glasses. What are you waring? Let me guess, 20-50 prim hair, 14 prims of jewelry, 20-50m prims of clothes, and a few dozen other scripted attachments just for fun, right. I just don't have a clue why you're having lag problems.

After reading all this it seems that apathy runs as thick as the comedy. I now see why nothing ever gets fixed. Why should the Lindens fix anything if most people seem to be more then willing to tolerate the bugs.

Possibly they feel you need to verify your age because of your childish whining. If you don't want to play, fine, don't play. Just leave, don't stand there making a song and dance about it.

Yep I hate RL missions & quests, I am addicted to it though, slaving for hours daily for minimal GP, but somehow I keep leveling at a yearly rate, I wanted to stay Level 30 forever :/

glad everyone is having such a great time with the thread, but i can understand where the op is coming from. for the first time in maybe 8 months i have gone longer than a week without logging in. i dont even look at the auctions or scout for land anymore. the problems arent even half of my discontent. i think what bothers me most is ll's blatant dishonesty, the disingenuous excuses they post, and the social engineering mission they have undertaken. it seems like ll completely ignores its customers, then every couple of weeks drops a secondlife-changing bombshell. i really do feel like they are contemptuous of me and my fellow customer/residents. broad sweeping policy changes and to hell with whether anyone likes/wants it (im told i want it though, and that annoys me). sycophants will of course point out that this is ll's legal option (no shit hey). i can legally serve everyone cold salty potatoes, mushy panache, pour fish sauce over their overcooked steaks and call it high cuisine, but i wouldnt expect people to be happy about spending $ on such a thing hey... and thats what i feel like ll serve me up.
despite sl's craptacular performance and management, i do like being in-world. but anymore its difficult to justify the $ i spend on tier and land. especially when ll can and do arbitrarily fuck with land valuation. i'd like to forget it all and retire to a 2048 on an island and build shoes but with the value of land tanked i hate to liquidate my holdings right now. on the other hand i dont want to carry tier into another one or two months. so im not sure what to do.

I love never having to bathe or go to the bathroom and still always looking fabulous. Who the hell needs RL!
