*thinks Brenda's got the right idea in going out for a steak.... yum....* Oh it was. I had a New York Strip intead of a TBone, since the place I went to has fabulous Clams steamed in wine and garlic. So I had a dozen of those as an appetizer. Add a Caesar Salad, a liter of Sam Adams, then Blackout Fudge Cake and Irish Coffee for dessert. *burps* _____________________

oryx it is hard to face morality when it hits you in the face
I faced my own morality a little over 2 years ago (a few months after getting into SL) I ended up in the hospital and did not know if I would leave there walking, or with a toe tag... scary thought knowing that at any moments something beyond your control can happen (well we all have that everyday of our lives, but when it hits you on a more personal within yourself level it makes you realize how short and precious life is) after I got out of the hospital my life changed drastically... and now I live each day as though it were my last, because I don't know when or if my illness will rear it's ugly head (or some other mishap might occur) to remove me from this plane of existence _____________________

I am off for bit hope everyone is well or hanging in there, it will pass whatever is happening at moment. I figure out that tonight earlier, I had been really upset not able to do much, health, emotional crap but some how I feel like the emotional part is lifted that had been troubling me even though the circumstances hasn't changed. It just doesn't have the power over my emotions and body at the moment. Which is very nice. Thanks for keeping me company and all your kind words this last week for me its been bit of difficult week for me. _____________________

I just go read JIRA. I'm usually out in minutes. Fortunately, I wrote a patch myself and got some sleep, though the patch was later rejected in favor of a new fix... which generated issue TOSSN-TRN. Next time I'm just going to hit myself over the head with a frying pan. |

OK, you all, just skip past this if you don't want to read RL stuff. At work, there is an older lady (57) who smokes 2 packs of cigs/day.... she had a heart ablation 10 DAYS AGO and is back at work. She doesn't NEED to be at work; she just is because she goes crazy sitting at home, so she says. Anyway, today I came upon her sitting on the floor (!) and asking me for a wet rag because she was too hot. I called a Code Blue which means to call an ambulance and the First Responders... while we were waiting for the ambulance, Nancy's eyes roll up into her head, she vomits out her false teeth, and she goes into a stroke/seizure thingy. I was terrified and for the first real time in my life I realized MORTALITY, and, for some strange reason, I wanted to grab the damned thing by the throat and shake it, and force it away. And so now I'm drunk and venting and traumatized. Thanks all for listening.O I could never understand why people would want to die, til my grandmother died at 96yu, she had been walking til then when was her 3rd stroke, but this time she broke her hip and dislocated her shoulder, doctors did what they could but couldn't risk relocating her shoulder, she decided to die and stopped eating after a week and we let her go because we knew her quality of life was gone, she died the weekend befoe my brothers wedding while the bucks weekend was on, I stayed with Dad instead of going so we had a wedding on Saturday and funeral on Monday :/ And myself I have had headaches on and off over last 2 months, had to go get a MRI head scan, luckily nothing showed except looks like a sinus infection is stuffing my sleep. But they were bad and I was on 6-8 Panadine a day and was aggressive to people for slightest reason and I didn't know what was wrong or if it was something terminal, losing an arm, leg, Kidney whatever, but the brain is pretty important. Yeah, I'm cheezed off, I'm not indestructible like I was when I was 20. And now there's one too many funerals each year now, parents will be in next 10 years, then you start looking at friends and siblings and wondering who's next :/ _____________________

Last time I went to read the JIRA to induce somnulant bliss, my brain downgraded issue SLP-1NEED from "Show-Stopper" to "Normal", assigned the issue to an unqualified neuron who took a stab at the issue after a few weeks of messing around with a new feature (WZY-DZY, which generated a new issue: SIK-2STMCH) who then marked SLP-1NEED as "Resolved Internally" forcing me to re-open the issue, upgrade it to "showstopper", only find it downgraded again with a comment "We don't use that feature anyway" had the paperwork lost, found, transited to Scotland where it was buried in soft peat for a while before finally being used to warm a nice old lady's house. Fortunately, I wrote a patch myself and got some sleep, though the patch was later rejected in favor of a new fix... which generated issue TOSSN-TRN. Next time I'm just going to hit myself over the head with a frying pan. Just reading that is making me woozy. _____________________
