We all lose it at times, and our friends shrug, try their best to support us, and we all move on. Please don't stress more about using the f-word.

Thanks Amara. Some health issues keep me home. That is why I am often talking about the kids at times because I am Mr.Mom here. (real life disclosure ftw). I know sometimes people wonder how I have so much time to be here.. well honestly most all of my RL friends have trailed away since this happened and you guys are my friends. I have my parents, my wife and kids and you all. That is why I cling to this a bit harder then I should at times.

Thank you. I love you all too. And you are much more then pixels on a page to me. I know behind every keystroke there is a person.

I don't think the F-word is evil. I am fond of my grandma expression F**k 'em, but star it so not to offend. It is not that I have never used it, but being home around the kids now I don't. And I don't want to offend anyone on the PG board with what I said on that other thread.

I have been dealing with long term illness myself and literally lost numerous friends and relationships in my first life so I know what you're going through Macphisto.
Hardest thing is I got no family and I often feel lot of shame because I am not out doing normal work or haven't been able too.
I really hate when people ask me about what type of job I have in real life because I am embarrassed.
My nurses are going away on vacation for few weeks and I am not looking forward to being alone.
I don't know if there will be replacement the last was absolutely frightening.

It's amazing to me how close I feel to you Threadies. SL is my first on-line experience so I have no comparison to fall back on, but it's really been an eye-opener (heart-opener?) to post in the Forum and especially in this Thread and experience the emotional closeness.

Same here. I was an Online Novice before stumbling into SL last year. It definitely has been an interesting experience, a roller coaster of sorts.

seriously I have lost track of who I knew before they posted in here and who I knew after...


mac honey I know how the stress feels, I too have typed out big long personal RL issues posts, only to just hit the delete key instead of posting it (for the same reason, do not want to give someone something to use against me later)

I try to not think about what is coming, but no matter how much I do not think about it, it is still coming, and when that day comes, I may or may not still be here... only time will tell.

anywho, hang in there, you are not alone.

I have hubby in RL, but he knows what I am going through and he is there for me, but I can not always be dumping on him, I have to be strong for him as well.

And his parents they know the situation, and it is no good to try to dump on them, just not the same as having a close friend
I have no family here

I have no friends here (some acquaintances, male friends of hubby's)

I have no one in SL that I feel comfortable enough to dump it on either, so each day I just take a deep breath, pray for the best and thank god I got another day.
