SL just ain't the same unless the avatars are "life sized".



All sorts of double entendres spring to mind. But the important question is, do you really use a 56" plasma as your SL window, and how does it work as a computer monitor in general?

Hmmmmmmm.... I wonder.... I might even consider picking up the wood myself & building one. I haven't done any woodworking stuff in a long time.

if you have the tools and experience, i would go this route. almost everything made of wood in my house is made by my husband... including most of the house. :D

my son plays video games using a projector and a wall. the characters are insanely huge.

Been doing some Computer Desk shopping.

Why are all these desks SO SMALL!!!!!?????

My current desk holds two 22" LCD's, a file drawer, and 4 shelves with doors.

It's also from 1988 when Desktop computers were big. :o

I figured it was time to start looking for new ones. Already checked Ikea, Target & Walmart. Did people shrink over the past 2 decades??? Tiny desks, high prices. WTF???

So far it looks like I won't be replacing it anytime soon.


Hmmmmmmm.... I wonder.... I might even consider picking up the wood myself & building one. I haven't done any woodworking stuff in a long time.
Go to a store that sells office furniture or even one of the office furniture liquidator stores. That is where we got our last set of office furniture -- we needed a setup that would work for two people on computers at the same time, with plenty of desk space for work related stuff.

Ok, have to finish getting ready for work. It's my last day of being able to take it easy. Tomorrow, she is gone and it's all on me. I was told me to come in around noon today and this evening, right after work, there is a party to say goodbye to "her" and hello to me at a local bar/restaurant. I expect much drunken debauchery from staff and bosses alike :D

in fact, Morg is a RL friend who i have just finally met up with in SL.

Tex & I rode the giant ferris wheel. you can just barely see our heads at the top:


Here's a head shot of the giant dragon. the head was moving around and smoking a little... too bad the pic doesn't show that. was cool. i didn't take a side shot, i should go back and see if it's still there

I had fun at the hangout last night! So many people came and went, I had a ball!

I think my fort was a hit, I even had to put more sits in there so everyone could get in lol.
And I looooove the new skin Iz made. I've never tried darker skins in SL before, because I am so ghostly pale in RL, I try to stick to the pale look, because I think it works for me, usually.
But I think I'll definitely wear this one again. I found a whole new appreciation for my wardrobe! Particularly red! :p

another hidden underground build. was very glowy and magic-fairyland-like


and a beautiful garden type setting, really well made. loving the hanging floral vines all around (i wish i had taken more pics of this place. i'd love to duplicate it)

I have the dragon and the boat- will check if I uploaded- if not i wil tonight :)
Missed the music part when everyone wandered off. We ended up in a mer place - again! Something decidedly fishy going on in my SL lately!
Checked- the one on photobucket right now shows the dragon real teeny - see above for Steely and I's pic.
