you're just trying to make me mad. i hope you AR'd them. if i can't do it, they can't do it. grrrrrrrrrrr
I asked Blue Linden if this sort of thing could be specifically he AR'd. He replied in an email that, yes it could. Sooo I AR'd the location in question. It's 2000m above Bubbly Nightclub in the Island of Romance sim. There is a 256mx256mx.5m invisible mega prim covering most of the sim at 1499m. The bots are all in a cube at 2000m and protected by a security system set to 6 sec warn.

It was quite the adventure trying to find the wascals. Amaranthim helped point me in the right direction with her radar, I flew up until I hit the mega prim. Scrambled to the sim edge and sat on it. Then went back to the spot underneath the bots and flew straight up to the cube.

This club had maybe 4 real ppl including me and my dance partner. The rest were all bots.

EDIT: The security orb actually didn't work. It was misconfigured.

Been doing some Computer Desk shopping.

Why are all these desks SO SMALL!!!!!?????

My current desk holds two 22" LCD's, a file drawer, and 4 shelves with doors.

It's also from 1988 when Desktop computers were big. :o

I figured it was time to start looking for new ones. Already checked Ikea, Target & Walmart. Did people shrink over the past 2 decades??? Tiny desks, high prices. WTF???

So far it looks like I won't be replacing it anytime soon.

Hmmmmmmm.... I wonder.... I might even consider picking up the wood myself & building one. I haven't done any woodworking stuff in a long time.

That's interesting because Jack had said specifically in the blog posts that they didn't want people ARing them. Did he tell you want category to AR it under? I haven't looked at the AR menu in awhile. Did they add in a traffic gaming category?

Check out Office Depot or Office Max if you have one in your area. They carry larger ones that are meant for execs I believe, although they are higher priced.

I had the same problem with depth so I got a large tabletop and put legs on it from IKEA.

Pep (A jigsaw cut the tabletop to the profile I needed for the fairly small peculiarly shaped study space, as well)

When I lived on my own I used an enormous dining room table as my desk. I wanted the screen as far from my face as it could reasonably go. and I wanted room for open books and paper to scribble on.

Besides, nobody uses desks anymore.

Hook that puppy up to your 56" Plasma, and grab a wireless mouse and keyboard. :D

SL just ain't the same unless the avatars are "life sized".

There is a bar I go to in rl where I don't need a screen (except to watch sport) nor a mouse nor keyboard (I use voice) and all the avatars are life-sized.

Pep (They are not all as attractive as in sl though.)

PS I use a pretty small table, but then, it only has to have a couple of glasses on it.

someone was being naughty to 3R.

human Soji dancing on table with bubbles. is good. :D

"Someone" was trying to place the blame on me..."someone" sort of small and fishy that night :p

BTW, who was the handsome gentleman you were dancing with that evening? Mr. Morg Randt? Don't recall him being around before, but he wasn't a noob either. I have a very nice picture of the two of you :)

Ok, have to finish getting ready for work. It's my last day of being able to take it easy. Tomorrow, she is gone and it's all on me. I was told me to come in around noon today and this evening, right after work, there is a party to say goodbye to "her" and hello to me at a local bar/restaurant. I expect much drunken debauchery from staff and bosses alike :D

I feel your pain.

About 10 years ago, I had a dalmatian puppy who didn't understand that he was a foot warmer and not a bed buddy. He thought his place was between me and my wife and that he was entitled to one of the pillows.

A trip to Ikea for a queen sized loft style bed solved that problem and gave me back some floor space. But the best part of all is the huge desk underneath and all the shelves. Only problem. . .I wonder what happens when my knees give out. I guess I'll just find a new place to sleep because I'm not giving up this desk

Last night at the Hangout, Izdzan was showing Claire and me her new skin. (I mean a skin she made.) This is how it looks on me - and incidentally shows what the well-dressed girl wears on a jetski:

Good Morning Threadians!

Nice breakfast, Mo. Um...is there any OJ? I'm dying for a tall glass of OJ right now.

and in the "huh?" file:

A Mr. Mark Neely of Fargo, ND returned to his car to find all of his CD's had been stolen. The thief left a note praising Mr. Neely's taste in music, and telling him he should have locked his doors......signed [thief's name]. That's right...he signed the note!!!

Police picked him up at his residence a short time later.
