Wow wow wow. I just knocked back a Sam Smith Tadcaster. I don't want to give the impression that I drink a lot - I don't. I don't drink often or much, but I like the good stuff. Still I'm a lightweight and my head is not exactly spinning, but it's thinking about it. The gyroscopes are still online.
Catching up -
Amaranthim, that post about your disillusionment with SL was SO different from the usual you. It was shocking, like a whole 'nother person sat down at the keyboard. I'm sorry you're so upset. All this technological stuff we have, even something as simple as telephone, sucks to the skies when it doesn't work, but it will come back. It has to.
And Rhonda, oh my god! Are you trying to make everyone fall for you? Your pictures are just one amazement after another.
Alright - I better stop now so I don't have to go back and do ninja edits.

. I need a couple of those. I've chatted more with people today so far than I usually do in a week because of the home tour -- which is still not much at all by most people's standards. A bit outside my comfort zone and I'll be exhausted for sure, but in a good way I think.

I was having the same problem...rezz times were unbelievable. I switched to the Snowglobe viewer, and things picked right up. I've done about half of the homes tour, it just amazes me how creative people are... It's great fun, if you have any time don't miss it!

From: 3Ring Binder we each draw our own conclusions, based on #1 our own experiences, #2 our own perspective from outside the bubble.
i marvel at people who can find the good side of someone, when the black side is so prevalent. personally, i cannot separate the two. once you've gone black, you can never go back.

Some days (well okay, most days) I really have to wonder if there are any brains left in LL. I opened a support ticket regarding the 404 posting problem: Me (June 17): "I was getting errors SOMETIMES when posting in the forums, but now I am getting the error EVERY time I try to post. The error is: Not Found The requested URL /newreply.php was not found on this server." ~~~~~~ Them (June 19): "Greetings LittleMe, This was a temporary issue and you should find that you no longer receive this error. However, please re-open and reply to this ticket if the issue remains unresolved and I will address it from there." ~~~~~~~~~ Me (June 20): "The error still exists and has been pinpointed to happen with EVERY post IF the "Message Editor Interface" in Options is set to "Enhanced Interface". If set to 'Basic Editor' or 'Standard Editor', then there are no posting problems. This has been confirmed by many people in the forums." ~~~~~~~~~~ Them (June 24): "Greetings LittleMe, We are still looking into this issue; however, could you please reply to this ticket as to which browser you are using when this happens? ALSO, please try at least one other browser and let me know what happens with that one as well." ~~~~~~~ Me (June 27): "I usually use Firefox, but have tried Internet Explorer. Many others in the Forums can confirm this issue -- on a variety of Browsers, including Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome. As my second comment said: "it happens with EVERY post IF the "Message Editor Interface" in Options is set to "Enhanced Interface". If set to 'Basic Editor' or 'Standard Editor', then there are no posting problems. This has been confirmed by many people in the forums."" ~~~~~~~~ Them (June 27): "Greetings LittleMe, I have tested posting to the forums following your definition of the issue. I was able to post to the forum successfully and was using the Opera browser. As such, I am going to close this ticket as having been resolved." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HAHAHAHAHAH My latest response: "Very few people that I talk to on the forums uses Opera. Did you try this using Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome? Go search for all the threads in the last couple of weeks in Resident Answers that talk about this issue. Just because YOU can do it using ONE browser that almost nobody else uses does NOT mean the issues is resolved." ~~~~~~~~~~~

OK- /me is back amongst the living- took an extended nap! I just woke up - /me waves at everyone - sorry I was such a downer earlier but damn that was horrible! If Josh had not been there while I toured his home I wd have just left - argh the damn greyness of it all. OK- going to get groceries- for real this time!!! Then when I return I will really go on the tour again and yes i will defininetly try it on Snowglobe Argh- Seven u r right - it is most unlike - me but damn if that wasn't just the straw - i dont mind walking slowly etc- i dont mind how long stuff makes ME wait- it's when it impacts other people that I am around or interacting with that i cannot tolerate it! Damien and Steely are both extremely forebearing of me with relation to my rezz time but people that r not use to me i feel shd not be made to wait and poor Josh was a dear putting up with me but so unfair fo rme to go to other homes and actually interact with people. Anhoo- I iwll try again. Not PO'ed now

Despite my crap graphics card and SL being particularly wonky for me today, I was able to make it to all your homes! Thanks so much to all the volunteers for graciously opening up their spaces for us to see. It's particularly cool to see the diversity of places on the tour, from the small spaces to the large. Such talent and creativity to be seen! I'm not sure if anyone else had slow rezzing problems but using the alpha snowglobe viewer helped me some https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/technology/blog/2009/06/24/snowglobe-10-now-available. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take pics as it was making me crash and sorry if I missed you visiting my house and couldn't greet you. Hope that those that were able to make it on the tour had a fun time. Just a few quick comments for all the participants. If anyone took pics, post them for us in the forum cartel flickr group if you have a chance http://www.flickr.com/groups/forumcartel/*Carter Denja: Very nifty hangout with some great furniture. Garden was lovely and I loved the stream you were using .. very fitting for the environment. Jackie Silverfall: I'm always wanting more prims and you did a nice job of making a nice skybox with a great view. Cool pool too on the ground level. Gabriele Graves: Cool spooky graveyard, hope you didn't mind me laying in your glass coffin. Thanks for the poem rose! Seven Okelli: Hope you don't have to wash all your sheets as I bounced all over it. The skybox house will be really cool when you're done and looks like you're doing well with structure. very cute! Blot Brickworks: Lovely hillside home and love the library look and textures. Those stairs were quite the workout! Soen Eber: Loved the water and the japanese style! Quite serene and peaceful by the water and nice big deck! Weston Graves: Really liked the layout of the skybox and the GMO plants were really nifty!!! Woah your artwork is really nice especially "reclamation" ... you've got quite the talent! LeeLee Szymer: Such a spacious and grand home. Loved the entrance and the airy feel. Awesome pool and I LOVE kitchen!!! Nic Writer oh love the garden and cool plants. I liked the coloured and organic feel for them. Always nice to have a ground level place and a private skybox! Lelia Wakawaka: Cartoons on tv! Great idea with telling folks how to rez sculpts better . i often pass that info too. Love the furniture and stained glass windows. super cute nursery. Rock VacircaI've always loved egyptian themes! Really captured the feel with the great textures and the torches. Loved the boat at the entrance too. He's got lots of secret hidden stuff there! Ashe1 Writer. WinterAshe .. brrrrrr i had shorts on. Loved the horse stable and how the whole sim is winter. Colour scheme is really nice in the summer home and I love the style of those types of windows. Litta Nightfire and Cee Edman: Woah lots to see here. I'm jealous of all your prims. Thanks for the elephant tour Litta and nice meeting you during the tour Cee. Everyone must try the zip line, it's awesome. Whimsycallie Pegler I ended up in the water but flew up. Love the ethereal look of the place. Definitely has that lovely child like fantasy feel about it. Looked cool at midnight. Ghosty Kips. Lovely relaxing garden. I just realized you made a lot of those sculptures .. they are great!!! Loved the yin yang one in particular Allegria Kanto & CX Nieuport: Cool hot tub waterslide combo. Lovely village and shops but unfortunately I had trouble finding the skybox from the tp menu. Thanks for volunteering! Victor1st Mornington: Nifty sky station!! The build looks particularly cool when you zoom out and get a wide shot the build. Sarkany Munz I love castles! Cool build and I like your dragon shield teleporters ... saved me from all the walking during the tour. Bodhisatva Paperclip Gardens were quite relaxing and beautiful and wonderous. Thanks for the notecard explaining your inspiration .. I love seeing different cultural representations in sl. Melita Magic: Defintely groovtastic! Trippy windows inside and you've got a great view with lovely waves. Amaranthim Talon loved the style of your home and the wonderful textures. Stuff actually rezzed thanks to snowglobe. Your art gallery space was wonderful as well. Great meeting you and having an sl bitch session together lol. Zaphod Kotobide: Great home and nicely decorated. The doors were locked so hope you don't mind I just cammed around .
