From: Seven Okelli To me this sounds like "Your home will be rebuilt using the finest corrugated cardboard available." I have already given up on that horrible SL Answers. I can't be on the site for longer than five minutes without getting a literal headache. It is the most feature-free software they could have chosen. It's hard to navigate. It's hard to follow threads or find anything. It's just wrong from the ground up, and I say that after giving it what I believe was a fair trial. . Blue mentioned that it would still be a forum. Just running on different software. It is the same software for Answers, but configured differently. http://forums.cnet.com uses what Blue said they wanted to move to.

From: Pserendipity Daniels So what are you batting now? Pep (If you don't go to the plate, you can't hit a homer.) (speaking of badly chosen men...don't diss the Homer!) J Nope..not a self portrait.

And at first glance it doesn't look much different from this forum really. Pep (It's not the software that really matters, it's the rules of use and enforcement, or failure to do so.)

From: Pserendipity Daniels Perhaps you have identified a critical point; you consider yourself a "lady of the thread", whereas I don't have enough information to corroborate that. Pep (I thought your taste focus was on the anti-anaemia considerations.) Oh Pep, I am so disappointed. I thought you would do so much better than that, ahh well.

From: Pserendipity Daniels So what are you batting now? Pep (If you don't go to the plate, you can't hit a homer.) The first somewhat bad choice still lasted 6 months, which is almost an eternity in SL terms. Other than my 2 not-so-great choices, all the other guys I've hooked up with were great guys and I'm still good friends with them - we just didn't want the same things in SL. So my batting average is still not bad - and I have not given up completely.

A hellacious thunderstorm just passed through, actually it was the last in a series that went on all night. Now that it has passed, I'm going for a ride with my new Co Pilot:

From: Pserendipity Daniels If you are going to try to bate me why didn't you say "sauce" not "source"? Pep (Parenthetical postscripts are not accommodated by conventional grammar.) PS You could always try to create your own USP, but you will have to try a little harder. bait maybe or was that a Norman thing?

From: LittleMe Jewell You do realize that the paperback version never comes out until the hardback has been out for at least a year or two, right? Not all books get published in hardcover. Not all hardcover books get published in paperback. The thread is an interactive e-book that has been out for more than a year. Oh, and I almost didn't make it to work this morning. I was already awake, on the edge of my bed to stand up, when lightening struck repeatedly right outside my window. From the sound, I thought my car might have been hit in the gas tank and exploded. Power flashed and went out.

Is it possible to get a quad cafe amaracana around here? I Googled that and didn't get any hits- so I offer you an encore presentation of good fare from Troll in the Hole! I had the grits this morning my self, they were quite yumm with a fresh fried egg - i was lacking troll biscuits and gravy though

From: Lexxi Gynoid Not all books get published in hardcover. Not all hardcover books get published in paperback. True, but this is an epic novel that can only be done justice by being published as a hardback and as a series even, with no less than a dozen or so installments. (like the Wheel of Time series that never ends)

From: Amaranthim Talon /me weeps for Robert Jordan and the fact I will never really know the end We will not know the end probably as he intended it, but his son and others are at least going to use his notes to finish the series -- though I think they did finally acknowledge that it cannot be done in a single book.

I don't think Robert Jordan even had an ending in mind. I gave up on the series after book seven or so, when I found myself screaming at the pages "Just End It!!!!! Put the pen down!!!...here I'll help...write 'The End'! " There is an old story in the jazz world about Miles Davis and John Coltrane. Coltrane was known for his long..multi-verse solos. One night, he took his solo, and repeated again...and again..and again. On the 7th verse, he looked at Miles as if to say 'I don't know how to end this one"...Miles is reported to have moved over to him, and said "Just take the horn out of your mouth". Good advice.
