From: Oryx Tempel Hey all. After a couple of glasses of wine, I find myself teary-eyed (no, actually crying) at the thought of leaving the Forums. I LOVE this place. It's where I really learned about SL; how to build, texture, interact, etc. It's where I've made lifelong friendships and companions. It's where a community came together to create something amazing in the Hangout. I'm just so fucking sad that everything we've done is for naught. What's the point anymore? I said before that I'd stay till the bitter end but I honestly don't think I can do that. It's too painful. So today I bid you all farewell. I'll see you inworld. I love you all. Oryx *hugs* Oryx. I don't understand what is going on, but *hugs*

From: Warder Revestel I wrote a bunch of references to Book One, since it is almost complete. Check my blog for the latest excerpt to Book 36 (which I did not unveil tonight) and plenty of other things I have in mind... Good night threadies Tomorrow is going to be slow. Pass. Pep (Did I hear you are applying for the new forums moderator position?)

From: Gabriele Graves @Pep, you are over generalising. You only know the tastes (in men) of a few women of the thread at best, not all I never suggested I knew the tastes of *all* the women in this thread . . . Pep ( . . . but I know more than *you* might realise. )

From: Jerboa Haystack (Considering the source, I'll take that as a complement) J Am I getting the parenthetical thing right? This proper grammar stuff is so confusing. If you are going to try to bate me why didn't you say "sauce" not "source"? Pep (Parenthetical postscripts are not accommodated by conventional grammar.) PS You could always try to create your own USP, but you will have to try a little harder.

Pep ( . . . but I know more than *you* might realise. ) Oh I am sure you do, however what you said was: From: Pserendipity Daniels Given the historically proven abysmal taste in men of the ladies in this thread The fact you said "*the* ladies of this thread" does indeed indicate you meant all of *the* ladies in this thread. I just don't see any other reading of it to be correct. So my comment stands.

Oryx Oryx, I didn't have you pegged as a Brannalike Cassandra type. I have reconsidered my expectations regarding the forums on the basis of Blue's recent apparent interest, and I reckon that all that is going to happen is that these forums are going to be recreated using the forum software that is part of the blog suite. So please don't burn your bridges just yet. You are one of the few oases of good humour in a semi-desert of po-faced political correctness, and abandoning this thread pre-emptively doesn't have much going for it from your own or anyone else's point of view. Have another drink and reconsider, please! Pep (If you do I promise not to post any more dead cats.)

Sure, we all generalise just wanted to make a point especially as you don't really know my taste in men and as I am a lady of the thread by all standards...well you know where I am going with this

From: Pserendipity Daniels ... I reckon that all that is going to happen is that these forums are going to be recreated using the forum software that is part of the blog suite. To me this sounds like "Your home will be rebuilt using the finest corrugated cardboard available." I have already given up on that horrible SL Answers. I can't be on the site for longer than five minutes without getting a literal headache. It is the most feature-free software they could have chosen. It's hard to navigate. It's hard to follow threads or find anything. It's just wrong from the ground up, and I say that after giving it what I believe was a fair trial. .

What all of you did was definitely NOT for naught. You folks created a home and family that I was lucky to become a part of. I'm not sure if my SL adventures would have continued this long without all the Forum folk. I am bummed that LL just cannot seem to *get it*. *hugs* and thanks for your part in it.

Perhaps, but will that new forum even allow for a thread such as this to continue? Admittedly, Blue's entrance has made me pause a bit on turning my back on anything "official" as far as LL is concerned, but if a new forum does not have a conversational space such as what RA has become, then I am not interested in it anyway, no matter how it looks or functions.

From: Del Wellman Could somebody please send me an e-mail when this thread is available in paperback ? LMAO!!!!! Good morning Fellow Threadies. Did anyone see the footage on the Wyoming tornado that captured the eye? That was great stuff. Will and I are starting our vacation this Saturday. I'm flying out to Buffalo, NY going to see Niagra Falls and taking a road trip to Toronto. He says the road trip will give us more time to "bond" with each other. When he said that, another 4 letter word came to mind and it isn't what you think. I'm thinking more like kill each other if he starts scaring me while he is driving. On first meeting and trip to Atlanta, he liked to scare me to death when he was driving. That gave me real good practice on closing my eyes.

If you want to get a bit more risque in your fashion design, saran wrap, which also comes in assorted colors, is a very handy item. It's such a versatile product.
