you might have heard about that topless coffee shop that opened a few months ago.
It burned to the ground yesterday morning.

This made me sad... :(

Reading the forums would be an excellent way for the Lindens to keep abreast of what's happening in SL.

.

I sent Gayathri (I'm not sure if I'm spelling it right) links to the multiple threads here in RA regarding SL Answers. He was pleased to see the links and said he'd read them for feedback. What's shocking and disappointing to me is that the Lindens have this HUGE feedback resource at their fingertips, and half of them ignore it. Gayathri isn't new - his account started early 2008 and he's NEVER BEEN ON THE FORUMS. He is a PROGRAM DIRECTOR.

It is believed by some that there are Linden alts here among the forumites, probably so. But that just speaks right to the problem. They can't man up and spend time here officially, but can lurk as an alt? Meh.

If there is one thing I have learned over time, its that one often has to make it clear what things are wanted and important, and spell it out with big red arrows and pointers. Then you gotta poke and pester a lot. ;)

Amusingly enough- I have noticed this as well - sometimes one needs a friggin' brick wall...

Reading the forums makes baby Lindens cry. The rumor months ago was that they were discouraged from reading them so their morale wasn't hurt.

Yes. Supersadz are forbidden by the TAO.

If I was Queen of Linden Lab, I'd require that every single employee spend at least 1 hour a day inworld as a Linden. I don't care what they do; they can even go do the nasty with their gf, as long as they close the office door. But they need to be inworld. I'd also require that they spend an hour a day in the Forums. That leaves 6 hours of actual work, which will be much more productive, since they will know what's actually going on.

You would have a revolt, 6 hours is 5 more than they work now.

I was just thinking that yesterday at the meeting, instead of doing the labor to assemble the notecards and such, really all that was needed was to just tell those clowns to just read the friggin forum once in a while if they wanted to know what's on people's minds. it can't be made any simpler.

Good morning, Threadies. :)

/me runs in and gobbles up everything.

It is 10:30 am, it has been very hectic at work with way too many problems to deal with, so no time to eat anything yet. Finally getting a chance to breathe a bit, but only cuz I am sitting here listening in on a boring conference call related to the problems.

Breaking news: David Carradine found dead in hotel room :(

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8083479.stm
"Thai police told the BBC the 72-year-old was found naked by a hotel maid in a wardrobe with a cord around his neck and other parts of his body.
..
A US embassy official confirmed the actor's death, but added that the cause of death had not yet been established.

However, Thai newspaper The Nation reported that police believe the actor took his own life, and preliminary investigations found that he hanged himself."

"Pork-n-beans"? Do you mean tinned baked beans in tomato sauce?

Just as much as when Jack said a couple of weeks ago that he didn't know so many people were upset over Plan Ursula. They are either totally clueless or just plain liars.
I vote for CLUELESS

So... here's my idea for the next round of pictures. I remembered a couple days ago people were talking about avatar smiles and trying to get them in pictures. I thought it might be fun for people to post pictures of their avatar using some kind of facial expression and have the setting of the picture have something to do with the emotion being displayed. For example a surprised face while opening a present (or stepping on a land mine) or a scared face in a really dark scary place, or it could just be a nice picture of your avatar smiling.
So would anyone be interested in giving that a try? I have a copy/transfer hud that has about 10 or 12 facial expressions that I could give to anyone that doesn't alreayd have one. Send me a PM or an IM inworld after 2PM SL time if you want one.

I can't. After Brenda said all the avi smiles reminded her of the Burger King smile, now I can't get his pic out of my head. I took off my smile and deleted it from my inventory cause she was right. /me laughs.
